So by that example, there would be more than one planet and civilization to visit; some more advanced (if we're to believe Asimov) and some less. So again, I'd ask, why Earth? There'd be an infinite number of other places to go in any number of directions.
We may not have an alien standing in front of us but if you look back in history we have depictions of aliens carved in to stone from just about every major civilization dating back thousands of years.
I don't know why they would choose earth, other than it having intelligent beings present. I was just making the point that they wouldn't have to just "stumble upon us" by accident. They would have the ability to make an informed decision on where to visit.
Now...I'm off to view the rip-roarin, eye-poppin, only once a year SUPER MOON! Going to Rocky Butte in Portland OR with my new vape and some blue cheese if anyone wants to join me. I'll be carrying the sign sayin "The End IS Nigh!" JK.

Yes I know I watch Ancient Aliens on the history channel all the time and have seen the carvings and depictions... But they could have been anything I need to see real proof...

Probably not , but the chances of two being close enougth in time and space to interact must be vanishingly small.
Just as well considering what has happened to the indigenous populations in the America,s and Australasia when meeting a more technologically advanced culture.

Their explanations may be a little out there some times but the carvings they show are real.
The bible references alien like beings more than a few times, the Watchers, the Nephilim.
The ancient Sumerians had the Annunaki which were alien like creatures.

I don't doubt the carvings exist. But they're not evidence for anything. You agree the explanations are a little out there. And that's the issue. The carvings are real, the interpretations are laughable.

AhhhhhhhhhhhhYA!!! Turned out to be SUPER POOPER moon for me. To much cloud cover at the horizon, moon didn't show until it was way past the point where it gets magnified at earth's edge by the atmosphere. Still was a nice full moon, but not too much different from your avg full moon.

What did you think I say? Oh yea, those words are written in some book, written a thousand years ago, rewritten how many times since by how many different hands, so aliens must be real.
Honestly, I wouldn't go to the Bible for anything, let alone for an accurate history, let alone as something to base a belief on. The Bible isn't worth anything. Anything that can be learned from the Bible can be learned elsewhere, where its not tainted.
If we all believed what the Bible says, then we'd all be praying to the invisible sky monster.
