Howdy i was wondering how late you guys think is to late to spray for mites, i have a 8X12 solex greenhouse and do light dep. We are probably 1 1/2 2 weeks tops from pulling, ill be spraying Azamax and a little neem oil mix you guys think its to late to spray? Also what about Dr. Doom was thinking of maybe just bombing it. I have yet to totally eliminate the bug situation this season

Thank you for the response sir i checked out your hillside thread its amazing much props. Its just a real pain in the ass trying to kill the buggers i think they are black mites they are darker and not really a lot of webbing like the other mite, its more like etching on the top part of the leaf kinda looks like thrip etching on it

That sucks - i cant advise you on this crop - but you should investigate if predator mites could be a option and use them in every grow also keeping a high humidity for most of the plants history is also a good preventiv method for many mites.

Beat spraying all season along - predator mites is not a 100% fixer - i got a large house and it seam that only 2 plants have a mild mite infection...

not sure what "black mites" are but the same bombs should handle thrips as well.... let us know how things go

high humidity = inviting many other problems....

I like the concept of predator bugs, but this is such a short duration crop that they never get a chance to really populate and get into the swing of things...

Hey HF i agree with u comments, i have also read that predator bugs are best on long term crops but i have talked with a danish company that is pioners in the field and they advised me to use Phytoseiulus persimilis and keep humidity around 60%

I apply them 2 times pr year on my mother plants - and that keep em away 97%

My motherplants goes outside every summer and before they come in they mothership (juli) they get predators and then again at around december-januar.

The reason for the "high" humidity is that it favors the predators
and disfavor most mites...

U should try it out - to low humidity in a greenhouse is also not optimal for plant health, but u know that....
