I like most everything I grow. One plant that is not as potent may have more of a medical effect, more relaxing. The weed that other people rave over I don't usually like all that much.... so it's all subjective.

Right now I am looking for fairly tall plants that are fems, those are on the top of my list... tall plants because of the room I have and fems because of plant limits.

well ours is a short...very short list...the only true keeper we have ever found was in a $10buck pack of nirvana's jock horror...a couple of their other offering were also 'ok'... so making the Zach's favorite top 10 is...'nirvana'...

othe'sr that get a 'not-so-honorable-mention' are

rez - lots of hype..n we bought into it buying 12/15 diff packs..

sensi- not a keeper in a number of diff packs of various beans

mr nice... his ssh/mango haze, n 1-2 others were a 'best' 5 on the 'zach' rating scale of 1/10... him and rez should get together and massage each other.

bog... should have stayed retired

djshort- a 'master'??... bator...

hybrids from hell... can't rate em as none of his fuckin seeds sprouted...

wally duck... stay out in the bush...

serious seeds... u can't be serious

and there have been numerous others-

we are now growing some of ace's offerings,here's hoping..

in a nutshell, other then the jock we grew, i can't name one varierty that is equal (def not better), then the weed we were buying in the late 60's/70's...

Bodhi-I like his philosophy and his archive of mothers, you can tell he puts some thought into his work, and is always trying something new.
time will tell, same goes for a bunch of newer cali outfits ( hso, emerald triangle, riot, gdp, gage, etc.) banging poly hybrids and clone onlys.

I like seeing the cannabis breeding world expand beyond the small pool of Dutch breeders where I think things have stagnated for a while. Spain has good stuff going on, but the huge and rapidly growing and increasigly legitimate and competitive American market is the hotbed for cannabis breeding and will usher in a new era of ganja genetics the world has never known before.
My two sense.
Also looking forward to trying hortilab, karma, more! Also I think a small number of ic mag members are probably more skilled than many of these professional breeders.

Least reliable breeders: Note! Not saying they don't have some good gear, I'm just saying there are some serious duds too, hermi issues, no germination, difficult keeper ratios...etc.

I think that's Why Bodhi is hands down my fav breeder. The guy is a very generous and caring person as well as a very skilled and passionate breeder. His work with land race genetics are quite amazing as well as kinda rare. In todays market place flooded with chem's og's sour's and kushes witch are my Fav especially Sour d. I'm really excited to run Bodhi's Goji Og as well as his Instant karma (bubba kush x rez circa 06 sour d ibl) and especially his hollywood pure kush x uzbekistani Hash plant. I'm also thinking of grabbing some of his chemdawg 3 x apollo 11 genius pheno f2. Everything I have ever seen him produce that i have seen myself and other grown out has always ben AAA dank. If you can get any of his genetics get them. My fav I have grown from him is prolly his Lucky charms (the white x Appalachia) or sunshine daydream (BubbaShine x Appalachia) witch were amazing in all aspects. I actually made a cross I need to run of his Lucky charms x white dawg from topdawg seeds should be some frosty dank in those. There are still Real breeders out there they are just few and far between. As long as you do a lil research and dnt just buy your genetics based on the breeder's description and the pretty picture shown you will be able to find some truly amazing genetics. IMOP Sometimes you get what you pay for and some of those really special genetics coast a lil more. Another reason Bodhi is my fav breeder. I have yet to see him sell a pack of seeds for more than $69 per 11 pack witch are well worth it for AAA Dank in my eyes. Any way stay frosty guys late.

Nirvana is complete crap. I wouldn't recommend that anybody buys from this seed bank. You can hardly call some of their strains weed. The pictures may look good on the website, but they're deceiving. Very dissapointed with nirvana.

I have got much better results with some of Mr. Nice, G13 Labs & Dinafem strains.

Dinafem? really? They don't even breed, they hire a Spanish company to do their work for them. There are a few companies in Europe I support, CSG for one, but come the fuck on, you live in WA. It's not like we are isolated from good genes here in the PNW

k.c brains has great gear, i havehad bad germ rates i am almost certain they were old seeds, i got really strong andpest resistant plants out of kc 33, i did a few crosses to improve vigour on some indoor plants worked great

me because im always looking for real hybrid vigor and hardiness. Brains is pretty much alone in that category in my mind so damn, if you know something, share it..

The reason youve heard 90% bad stuff about Brains is because 90% of people are full of shit and run their mouths about stuff they dont have a friggin clue about. "Oh yeah i know all a bout it bla bla bla" BULLSHIT!!!

Ive grown 33 outdoors every year since 97 i think. 15 yrs i guess now. Ive bought probably 40-50 packs of Brains stuff in that time and ive never experienced any of the gossip ive heard. Brain Damage,Ledo uno, Spontanica, Afghani, 36, mindbender and haze special: Ive rarely found more than a couple of pheno's unless i grew out several packs. In fact, one of the reasons i buy Brains stuff is becuase i know what to expect: Not pheno's all over the place. Poor germ rates are and always have been the growers fault. So are a pack of males. You can put hermies in the same category: Its just a lack of experience and skills.

As far as i know, Brains is the ONLY, the one and ONLY breeder on the retail market today that breeds specifically for outdoor growing. Ive heard of other breeders having strains that do well outdoors, but thats differnt that breeding specifically for outdoor. I live in a tough enviroment. With wild roses and tobacco everywhere, 20 different deadly funguses are typical, frequent thunderstorms with 60-70mph winds, temps 100+ and humidities that average 65-70% daily and 90% at night. Hail, 2" grasshopper swarms, deer, wild hogs- most of the weak genetic inbred indoor shit cant survive here. I love my indoor grows, but indoor strains are weak as hell.

Ive been convinced to buy some ACe Bangi haze, but the best breeder around isnt worth a stinky shit if you cant buy his seeds. Ive been trying to get Ace seeds forever. Brains has the wherewithall to keep his shit stocked.

Have found quite a few keepers in Soma's gear too. Although I don't consider him a real breeder, he just makes polyhybrids (I've never seen any phenotype resemble another). But I have to admit I have always got decent keeper ratios and always found at least one per 10-pack (wouldn't buy all of his strains though)

-999. Greenhouse: by far the worst ganja I have ever grown (and have seen grown/smoked, they're way too popular over here). Their strawberry haze might be some of the worst genetics I've ever come across. I'd rather grow hemp. I think franco might know a thing or two but arjan is such an incredible asshole.

I gotta respectfully disagree... the 'best' herb we have grown is a cheap $10 pack of jock from nirvana... we have grown others from them , and most equal/on par with the other breeders.. except on price... I still can't believe how many times I was on seedbay ..refreshing like a nut, trying to get in on one of rez's auctions.. paying $200 (plus) for a package of 'hype'...

or paying $180 for some old mr nice's ssh... every lady we grew , we culled after 2-3 grows...

Good on you for stumbling across a keeper that only set you back $10 though. I guess it is hit and miss with a lot of breeders yeah?

I didn't find anything but extreme long flowering garbage in my pack of SSH either and far cry from the 9-10 week strain it's supposed to be. It actually really pisses me off when you grow out plants expecting them to finish in a reasonable amount of time and they end up going like 20 weeks. I know there is some good plants in MNS strains but you really have to like sorting thru a million pheno's from every end of the spectrum to find them.

Rez's SD IBL was the most money I have ever and will ever spend on seeds, 7 males, 3 females, 2 of them were crap but one was ohhh so good, Im still running it to this day 3 years later. It is the all time stinkiest plant I have ever come across.
I got my $ back on that deal by making a few hundred F2's with my keeper.
