Insulating water medium grow containers and pipes?

G

I need to ask, will using single foil sided batts to insulate my grow containers and piping from room heat be of any concern?
If the foil is reflecting the radiant heat and the batt works at reducing the conductive heat, would there an issue taping it firmly to my gear?
In an environment of 60-70 humidity with the probability of water spilling on the batt(will seal the best i can though), will this significantly reduces the effectiveness of the of the batt dramtically over a short peroid of time?
This is available to me now and at only a few dollars :woohoo: There is better ways to do this i am sure, but i am tight on funds so any help would be appreciated :)

Hey, with the foil been s good radiant heat barrier, would i want to have another side of foil facing my container also to keep any heat from leaching out of my containers? or will the batt be good enough? would this be worse for summer?
I would like if possible an all in one solution to keeping my system in check, how would you go about this?. It is heath robinsons high flow design i will be working with, trying to attempt some tree's, horizontal though.
Not in a mega rush with the insulation come to think of it, as temps are cold here anyways.
Thank you

Hey overbudjet, i forgot to mention that where i live there is not any reflectix, unfortunately.
They do have similar products but they are quite expensive from what i have found.
I am going to a salvage yard today, might find offcuts of something like it there i hope.
Eighths n aces, yeh like overbudjet said, to keep my containers cool, this turned out more complicated than i hoped... i researched insulation somewhat and now i am putting almost to much thought into it. i dunno...
Want to insulate these buckets to handle all seasons of weather, i grow in a tin shed that is not yet insulated, so my environmental controls are kind of unstable.
Thanks guys

ice chest(cooler) we used igloo 20gal coolers for dwc.

get a piece of one sided silver styrofoam from home depot and cut it to shape then cut holes for net pots.

biglots tends to have 10gal or smaller coolers for around $20.

then put some frozen 2ltrs in when temps start to get high.

only pic i had of it. only doing coco now, but still using a cooler for rez.we just cut holes in the top for that run but have used styrofoam before

if ur roots are to big to transfer thru a small hole and u are using the hydro bubble bucket lids. u can cut a larger hole in the styrofoam so that the root ball can fit then let the lid sit on the styrofoam.

Grow area is just about to free up, so i had better get my skates on... cheers
