Right on, You used to run the buckets right? I run a very similar setup in my 24 light room. Can't beat ebb and flow

Right on! I run the same setup except for I run 6" blocks directly onto the trays. We were getting Lockout with the Coco Mats retaining more than we wanted. Have you run into this problem before with your mats?

to be honest I used to just go with the 4 inch cube straight into the tray but I wanted to try the bigger cube and coco mat this time so I didnt have to use as many plants .. Hopefully it works out!

I am thinking of setting up a similar set up. Can't decide if I need to go from clone to 4" cube to 6" HUGO, I see some folks do that, but can't see the need for the 4" really. I am doing drip, 16 per 4x4 table, DTW. Also haven't made a decision on the coco mats. Lookin' good!

merk in my opinion it would be a huge waste of cash to go from 4 to 6... i could just rooted in 3" rockwool cubes -- they can stay in those for a month after being rooted if needed from my experience...

gottit - im in the process of setting up an 8k myself and had been thinking of going coco dtw in 2gals but im an ebb/flow kind of guy its just alot of water, i might do maxibloom flood/drain and add in a pk booster for flower. what are you running?

how much do your tables drink usually and your size of res etc?

I have been just thinking I can do 6" blocks and nothing else. I am currently doing a coco DTW drip in 2 gallon pots and LOVING it! It took me a minute to get it dialed, but that was because A) the plants hadn't rooted into the coco enough when I flipped them to 12/12 and B) I was not running my nutrients hot enough to account for the CO2 input. I have always done 3-5 gallon Pro-Mix handwatered grows, did a few ebb and flow grows with hydroton. The DTW actually uses less water(at the very least not more) than the ebb and flow in my opinion. I basically water 3 times during lights on phase for 1 minute. So far so good. I am liking the idea of from rooted clone into 6" HUGO blocks though.

i run 4's on top of 6's and briefly tried mats in addition but didn't find the roots grew into the mats enough to justify the hassle. plus, it made it harder to determine how dry the cubes were or how much drainage i was getting. maybe 4's or 6's on mats, but i don't veg much before flowering
