First ever Indoor Grow using 100w growlush CFL

Ok both of those big females hermied from stress got some pollen from them and cut them down .. going to use the pollen when I use up all these normal seeds.

I have several seedlings going and I am trying the 12/12 from seed method ...

All these plants were put straight into 12/12 from seed...

Ok here are the seedlings that were with the 2 big hermied plants so they would be around 20days old .. I had a few males which showed sex in 2 weeks so pulled them then dropped another seed in it's place and kept doing this so all the bigger plants in photos are females that showed sex around 2 weeks from seed at 12/12. So far I am happy with growth and also being able to detect males only 2 weeks of growth and being able to remove them easy. I am making note of how long it takes till harvest time and also if yields are alot less .. I was averaging 10-20 grams per plant as this is what I was getting with 22hrs of vege for 30 days so I have something to calculate loss of yield with straight 12/12 from seed.

The seedlings you see in photo are about 8 days old... and in about a week should be showing their sex. Males seem to show sex alot quicker than the females so easy to pull them out as rootball isnt as devleoped. I have put about 1cm of river sand on top of soil as gnats are flying about so this seems to slow them down.

I am giving them 1/2 strength nutes i.e. mollases, deoderised fish emulsion, green dream flower nutes, fedding once a week.

Heres photos and as you can tell the difference with the pure super skunk and the hashbomb x super crosses as the super skunk are alot taller.

Ok heres an update ..

various ages of female plants .. the really tall plants in the background are pure superskunk ... the smaller plants are the hashbomb x superskunk cross ...

these are the hashbomb x superskunk cross .. there are 2 in this photo & the smaller one is just a couple weeks younger why its smaller.. .. I have crossed back to superskunk 4 times. as you can see they are smaller plants but both have one big crown bud .. hairs on the older plant are about 30% red hairs .. wont be cutting down until all red hairs ..

this is another hashbomb x superskunk cross .. which I sprinkled the top with some pollen from a female super skunk clone that had been sprayed with coilidal silver. lots of seeds forming .. the middle and bottom of plant has no seeds and is starting to fill out.

These are pure strain super skunk and are very tall and nearly hitting the roof .. I have lowered the container somewhat to help.

All these plants are of different age thus why some are bigger and more filled out ...

12/12 straight from seed is a great option if you want to harvest quickly and also being able to determine sex early as to not waste time with males as they show sex very quickly and can be removed without harming any near plants.

yield has been reduced somewhat but not by much .. I will report back in 30 days.

Heres my first crop of 2012 , 8 plants all up , some are older than some others due to me pulling males and simply dropping in another seed in its place. the taller ones are super skunk and the shorter ones are a superskunk x hashbomb crossed over a few times.

12/12 from seed is good for micro grows cause you can detect a male within 2 weeks of growth instead of wasting time on veging for 30 days and then 14 days of flowering to only found out at day 45 that you have a males.

pumping them with mollasses from day one and giving flowering nutes from day one plus the occasional dose of non smelling fish emulsion. I love vertical growing , 360 degrees of unwasted light .. just have to bend plants out of the way of the light ... very easy to do.. 8 plants in one container with no issues at all ..When I feed them i pour over each plants stem near soil so theres no fighting for nutrients. As you can see from photos its very packed in there .. lol

I have found that 12/12 from seed the root systems arent as entangled so they are easy to remove. The soil is 2 crops old which is not good but with a very good flush seems to work well.

once these are done I will be ripping everything out and starting fresh with new soil and a new airstone.

I will post some more photos in a few weeks. Yields do suffer a little from 12/12 seed but no time wasted on males makes up for that.

The plants well into flower are already frosted with resin and about 20% red hairs.

I also have some feminised seeds that I made with some help of coilidal silver which i put pollen on a plant that was very short but huge bud as so I chose a good plant to make seeds off. My next grow will be using the feminised seeds so will be exciting to see the results as I believe the mother plant was put into 12/12 from seed so the offspring should be used to it and flourish well.

The taller plants are more of a pure super skunk strain but the shorter ones are a more a hasbomb strain .. I mixed them up and crossed them over about 4 or 5 times and the results are great.anyhow heres some photos -->

Heres a 2013 update .. I bought new cfl lights as the others were dimming alot anyhow im running 130wat 2700k cfl lamp with 1x 24wat 2700k and 1x 40w 5000k cfl

I also got a cheap reflector so no more vert growing. I have also set up a clone cabinet with 1x 40wat 5000k and 1x 24wat 6400k with a y splitter.

growing in 1 litre soda bottles .. I have been reveging the one plant over and over and over and taking clones etc heres some photos. I can fit 5 or 6 clones in there at a time and when ones ready i take it out and it is replaced with a clone. I have the smaller plants sitting on old dvd spindles to keep them near the light and as they grow remove the spindle. I do this so I can adjust the height of the light for the bigger stretching plants so all plants no matter how small are up there about 1 inch from the light.

looks great. but i would advise more lighting. im using 8 26=100w cfl's and are taller than yours with the light yu have. the lights i have are 1600 lumens each from ralphs groceries and i mst say working great. so yea add more lights for tighter buds
