Look at the stickies in this section, there are two giant guides on strains and where to get them.

The same place that i got mine, do a Google search for reputable seed banks and do a little shopping and a lot of research on the company. They are out there, and don't just use one site as a guide. Good luck!

You're going to have a hell of a time finding good autos and not someone's knockoff project then. The rest of us order them off of the internet, hell that's where we all get them. Never seen anyone busted because of it.

If you're 215 compliant then what's the worry?

Im just weird like that lol. Probly been smoking too much for too long haha. I don't like the idea of a seed company sending something to my house. Unless they discreetly package it with no name on it or something that would be the only way I would order.

No name on package, some banks even have discreet ordering options like ordering a shirt or coffee mug. CC with some banks, MO with others. I've done both, and have never had any problems. AND when you get that package in the mail... its like motherfuckn christmas!!!! -Hans

Interceptions are apparently quite rare. When seeds are intercepted, the Feds apparently treat them just like any other forbidden agricultural item- they keep 'em, send the addressee a form along with whatever else was in the package. If your package shows up with green customs tape & no seeds, it'll include a mail interception notice, PPQ form 287.

At least that's my experience. They might react differently to a bushel of seeds, dunno.

People who grow in states other than Colorado often advise using a trusted seedbank, an international money order, and a non-growing friend willing to receive. Under such circumstances, there is no way for the authorities to link the addressee to the purchase of the seeds.

I could send a package containing damned near anything to somebody I don't even know, right?

Samsara Ultraviolet is damned nice smoke, btw. Just sayin', ya know?

Which is why you never have them sent to your house or grow location. Friends who take cash and don't ask questions are great for this.
It's also a good idea to forgo using your credit card. Just mail them a money order or cash, works as long as the seed bank is honest. Spend some time googling reviews on seed banks, it helps. if you're not willing to invest an hour or two for research, why even bother growing?
knock off project? Pray tell, meaning??

Meaning, most growers don't know a damn thing about autos. They are very different from photo plants in requirements and the way they grow, so I wouldn't trust some local no matter how good of a grower they were. I get my seeds online and I choose strains that have a consistently good reputation which I determine myself by reading grow journals. Week by week documentation is one of the best ways to figure out if a strain is crap or if the grower just doesn't know what they are doing.

Basically, I don't want someone's leftover seeds from a pollen chucking project. I grow quality autos :peacock:

Some of the best autos I have grown were chucked by enthusiasts. I think most company's charge ridiculous $ and are not very honest in their strain info.
I love to chuck and share but that's not allowed here and pointing you in a nice direction isn't allowed either.
Don't like the Monsanto attitude among many breeders. Diversity is king. It's seeds for the love of good they can't be owned once they are planted.
Chuck on.

I see some truth in that. Most of today's breeders were yesteryear's pollen chuckers. A combination of factors (luck, skill, circumstance, dedication, whatever) allowed them to become professionals.

OTOH, there's something to be said for buying seeds from the Pros. The internet being what it is, they have their reputations & their livelihoods to protect. I'm not terribly fond of their other methods, like only feminized seeds. Yeh, sure, they're nice in a way, but few will employ the methods required to have them produce seed & market independence for the grower. Spending $80 or so on quality seeds isn't a bad investment if you can then grow your own seed from a relatively true breeding strain. It's actually a good deal if we think about it at all.

That's one of the reasons that Canned Abyss' strain of seeds is in my refrigerator & on my to do list- Not feminized.

It seems that today's newest & best breeders have created a cult of personality by using multi media & interactivity, but the genetics must be outstanding & elite in order for this to happen. There's a lotta guys breeding their own autos, & some are giving their lineages as well. The Internet allows one to learn all the techniques & tricks to do about anything. I've learned how to heat & cool a greenhouse for nearly nothing, by using a little known technique I discovered online.
