wilt after starting 12/12

These aero clones are 6-12 inches tall and have a nice root system.
They were vigirous and happy under 24hr t-5s.

2 days ago i moved them to the sealed flowering room under the 1k with the adjusta wing as high as it will go (3.5ft above) The room is running at 78-82deg with the mini split. I set the co2 low to start at 800ppm. humidity is 40-50%.

This is the 2nd day that i noticed they have a severe wilt by the end of the 12/12 light cycle? They perk back up overnight..but again after the light cycle they get that severe wilt and look terrible.

Im not new and have lots of experience. Ive grown this strain for 4 years, and never seen this before?

My first thought was shock? But i never seen this happen before?

It's quite common, actually. I just put rooted clones under my 1000w HPS, but mine is dimmable, so I had it set to 600w. They have adjusted nicely, and I just upped the wattage to 750w as of yesterday.

If you are unable to dim the light, why not just put some shade cloth over the tops of them until they adjust?

The process is called "hardening off" and it is not something that is only necessary when bringing plants outside. It can also apply when going from a T5 setup into an HID setup.

Thx hush.. It seems like the most logical answer. But like i said, ive never had this happen before? Ive ran hundreds if not thousands of plants going straight from the t5s to 1ks and never had this happen. Although this is the first time using the adjusta wings....maybe the lumen output of these reflectors just put it over the top? Maybe that, and the fact that i covered the walls with Orca film? (before i was using magnum hoods and reflectix) I dont see how that would be it though.

if your lighting is the only variable that has changed then like you said it is the most likely scenario...try moving the light higher and see if there is any improvement...

good luck

68 when lights go on and by the time lights go out they are at 72. Im running botanicare with aquashield and great white. Never had problems with roots...even at temps in the high 70s.

Growing medium with a low PH? Seen it happen once in my garden, and the culprit was a soil that was peat mix that was barely 6.0--which is too low for veg. Tossed the plants in flower and poof, all wilt.

UVs...that is the difference--maybe nothing to do with PH.

The T5s produce almost zero UVa/UVb while bare HPS bulb produce a goodly amount of UV rays. The protective glass in the enclosed reflectors is treated to BLOCK both UVa & UVb--while the adjusta-wings require a bare bulb without any protective glass.

Hope this little brain fart helps...lol.
Cheers!
