I was moments away from ordering an Arizer Solo when I got emailed a link to these guys.
It looks amazing, if a little pricey.
Smaller, quicker, better looking.

The only thing I can't find in a review online is the quality if the cape, which is what everyone says is so good about the solo.

Gonna have to start saving again, would hate to not have the latest and greatest gadget

long ass thread on fuck combustion dot com -- many, many favorable reviews there.

Note that it is a conduction vape (like the MFLB) rather than a convection vape like the Solo.

website: fuck combustion dot com

conduction vape: herb is in contact with hot surface, trichomes get hot, trichomes melt, thc is boiled off, air flow delivers thc vapor to toker.

convection vape: herb is caressed by hot air, which melts the trichomes, exposes the thc goo, and the hot air evaporates the THC goo and delivers it to the toker.

MFLB = magic flight launch box

Solo = Arizer Solo - a portable vape with a glass toke tube.

or were you asking a completely different question?

I picked one up.

It's super portable and easy to use. Gives a great cloud with a few cigar-style pulls. Seem to get about 5-6 bowls (about 15 min each) off 1 charge and it'll charge in an hr. Smells a little bit, but masked by any stronger smells....cigarette smoke, food, city smells, etc.....Great for vaping on the go. It's become my go-to device for use outside the home. Really nice size bowl and 1 session has been enough for me at one time, which I'm really happy about. A high tolerance sometimes makes some portables difficult, needing multiple bowls.......not here.

Only downside I've found so far is the lack of removable battery and the need to clean after 6-8 bowls. That said, cleaning is needed on anything..........especially with more resinous herbs.

Think I'll be getting several as gifts for friends & family this coming winter. I'm impressed.

Are these still recommended?

I found one of these for $220. I got to get a vaporizer. I can't wait for bud to dry!

What do they mean by pre-burn the unit first before using?

wet or damp weed will not vape well.

you need dried, cured weed for good vaping.

EDIT: you can get a food dehydrator if you need to dry some weed out, or throw it in the oven at 200 degrees F for a little while

it means there are manufacturing oils and shit inside the device. the idea is that somehow pre-burning (i.e. running it empty at full heat) will remove ALL the nasties.

also, cleaning is necessary and tricky to do without melting some of the plastic bits. or so i've read.

i only use a glass vape, myself.

if the bud is not cured, the first 5 minutes @ vapor temp will drive out the excess moisture, then the trichomes will vaporize.

I just got it! I got it in blue.

Not really working well with fresh cut bud; maybe it's 'cause my shizzle is ickey sticky dank?

Anyways, removed the first load, and then smoked that and now I'm getting high.

put a bud in the oven and dry it out robert. maybe 180-200 degrees F.

when it gets fragile to the touch, grind and try the pax. bet you get a massive hit after drying some bud.

Dry, and a fine grind help and fill the oven to a nice semi firm pack. Clean it every 6-8 fills when you charge it and you will love it. Got to stay clean which is easy.

covert, and works slick. This is a bad ass piece of gadgetry.

Make sure you buy from a dealer. or go right through the co's page. if anything ever goes wrong they seem to have good support. With the 10yr back up I think its worth the bucks.

I had a chance to borrow one for a weekend and just ordered after reading a ton of reviews. there are a few videos on the page.
