as i feared, my chop time will most likely coincide with a heatwave.

is there any way i can dry properly when ambient air temp is 85-90 F (29-33°C)?
(i don't have air conditioning)

i'm afraid the answer will be no, but i gotta ask.

thanks for your help.

The smalls will dry really fast and the larger flowers will flash on the outside but still have moisture internal.
I use paper bags when the conditions are hot.Place the smalls in the bag after a day or so and the larger flowers in the same bag after a few days,+-, depending on density
Sandwich sized brown paper are what I use.Jar and burp after 5 days for most.

Cookie is dead on! It's the air circulation that's the key. I purposefully dry in my 90 degree garage and even add humidity to maintain an rh around 70, but I have a circulating
/oscillating fan for the room and a smaller fan blowing across the tops of my buds. Usually takes 3 wks to dry and I've never had mold

Several cheap ways to increase humidity--simple pan of water placed directly behind the fan will drive up the RH #s. Also, put the buds for a day or so in closed cardboard box will help balance the moisture content inside the buds. Don't tape the box shut, just fold the flaps to close it, the shipping boxes from the US Postal Service are free and the cardboard is of better quality than the cheap brown cardboard boxes (which may contain low levels of petroleum...hmmm).

Good luck!

Very similar issue so let me extend the question a bit, if I may :)

Is there any way I can dry properly when the ambient temperature is 25-33°C (77-91F) AND the humidity is around 66% ?

My buds have been "drying" since this weekend and are barely dry on the outside. I placed a few sample buds on my ballast and could not grind them because they are so moist
I have a fan going in the room but I am concerned .... any advice?

Rice reduces RH.
Spread a goodly amount on tray/pan/plate--then find the lowest point in your drying area and put the rice there--humid air is heavier than dry air. No harm if you put the cardboard box of buds right on top of the layer of rice--and put the tray and all on the floor of a closed closet for 24 hours or so--then seal the buds back up (to draw out the inner moisture).....you know the routine.

Cardboard box or brown paper bag will help draw out moisture as well. How long?...sometimes a few hours...sometimes a few days have worked wonders--depending on the situation.

Cheers!
