I normally use one light over about 1.25m square. The first light on left is a 600w the one on right is 900w. Never used a 1200W but would keep it to within 1.5m square.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to DirkDiggla again.

Thanks Dirk, numbers is what we need:tiphat:

Would love to see those plants in flower till the end and then make a judgement on wether to try out a LED grow. So far the pics look great with healthy plants with a good structure to them.

Thanks for sharing. Good informative thread.

Cheers

Willyweed, have you had a look in the led forum?
There are plenty of grows in there with just leds that look great, also terpene's ace haze grows with just a 240w blackstar.

I'm very happy with what i'm seeing so far.

LOL mate I jave now researched a lot of LED grows by Verdant etc and I am completely happy with what I see and I am not at all concerned that these LED lights will not perform, in fact I am really looking forward to their arrival so I can crack on and show all of you non believers. Bearing in mind that I also up until now have never owned or used LED until now, it will be interesting for me as well as I find change hard but this is something I really want to try to combat Summer heat as well as reduce the old leccy bills. Just think 3600 watts of power for 1440 watts of usage, and 3600 watts of light with minimal temperatures :) Cant be all that bad.

But if its not for me then I have enough options to supplement the LED lighting with HPS so all is good. :tiphat::ying:

Im sceptical that these will live up to hps. and ive still never seen a side by side where they equal or outway hps. ive got nothing against LEDs but if they are so economical why aren't all the US medical growers and despenseries using them in their bigger ops where heat and electricity gonna be higher etc?

this technology is still very new, and very expensive, those are the main reasons pro growers still don't use them commercially

I don't think you realise how much commy growers earn lol. plus it would pay for itself very quickly. I don't think price is the reason tbh.

plus they are not new anymore they have been around for years.
