Nice...
CFL's eh? Not bad, not bad at all...
Our uncle uses CFL's for seedlings and propagation, and HID's for the rest.
Good luck and enjoy the fruits of your labor of love...
O.F.

Hi Of. Thanks for the well wishes. Yes, next grow, one way or another will involve HID lighting. I'm getting tired of CFL's and want to try a new lighting medium.

All these CFL's will come in handy around the place and for vegging/propagating.

It should be tall and vigorous cept I stunted mine with cold stress as I experimented with getting temp and RH/airflow correct in a new home made cab.
Still, the plant is budding up. Looks like I'll get a little something out of it.
Just feeding a little to both plants daily. Have to give the mango a trim every few days to keep the tops clear. It is responding well.

Gone up to 2.10 EC and 5.8 PH water. Maxibloom and molasses. Top feed daily from small bottle. Any waste goes into drip tray and it left for the plant to suck up or evaporate which invariably happens with 24 hours. Once the drip tray is dry it is time to water again.

Looks like the sweet mango will be last to finish right now but you never know right?

The auto critical jack herer just looked ready the other day so my gf kindly trimmed her for me and I flushed. She is now basking in the glow for a few days while she dries out. No hurry. Chop later this week.
auto sweet mango is significantly behind. Have added light hoping that will finish her off faster. At least 2 weeks away. Maybe even longer.:yoinks:

pics - 1 and 2 are the auto critical jack herer, flushed and trimmed and under the lights for a final few rays.

hows the asm doing? I have 2 that just poked above ground looking forward to seeing what yours looks like. I know you said it was stunted. Do you notice anything she likes or doesnt like? -Hans

She does not like the cold. It stunts her growth. Err on the warm side of things. She likes/needs regular trims or she gets so bushy there is no room for her to grow!
Do not be afraid to aggressively trim. In coco she drinks a little often. She gets thirsty so be ready to feed 2-3 times a day.

That is as far as I have got for now.
gf gave the plant a haircut earlier this week. Now there is a little more definition showing on the buds. Still what seems to be a long time to go though.

The auto critical jack herer on the other hand looked ready for chop today so I chopped and hung. Hope I got this one right! We will see.

Happy to oblige although not so happy with the resuts. North of 20g again but not by much! Planted was stunted due to cold stress and it showed in the yield. Shame as could have been a big plant had I taken more care or her.
That is my problem with auto's. I tend to not care about them so much. They are generally freebies I grow under less than optimum conditions. In this case I was testing a new home made box as a growing environment.

Final smoke report will follow in a month or so. In the meantime the auto sweet mango continues to bud and bush up. Still thirsty although not quite as manic as 2 weeks ago.

So had a smoke of the critical jack and it wasn't half bad even pretty much uncured. It starts with a floaty light sativa buzz then a nice head stone kicks in to make a pretty nice combo. Strong but functional. It is plants like these that make me want to have an auto perpetual box. See what I pull off these babies when everything is dialed in from the start!
sweet mango is developing quickly now but I still think it has 2 weeks to go. What do you think?

Pics are auto sweet mango, with and without frosting:biggrin:

My 17 look a lot like that but they're in full sun. I'll do a post after I get some more pics. I have about 4-5 weeks to go.

I'm wondering if mine will get thicker being out in real sunlight. My normal plants(organic) had buds 2-3x what my indoors ones(hydroponic) had. Though that may be the fault of the grower. :whistling:

I just want to say how much I hate caterpillars.

Hi Linked. Sorry about those caterpillars! However butterflies really are beautiful. Also silk is very lovely. Try and think of the positives.:huggg:

Talking of which I'm trying to find a few positives about a tough situation with the auto Sweet Mango.

Really coming into her own now. If I had the time I'd run her one more week at least.
However the sands of time have run out and I must process her into something so, upon my return I might have something useable in some form.:woohoo:

Got her in the dark now after 2 stage flushing earlier today. Will chop tonight then try this - https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=4530 drying method.

Pics!

I think the Mango looks great as does the Critical Jack. I'm actually thinking about buying more. Excellent trim work on the Critical.

Caterpillars are a problem because their poo causes bud rot. I actually don't mind them otherwise on flowering plants. However there can be no mercy and to be found is to court death for them. I had some bright green ones that loved freaking me out while trimming.

You can always do an acetone or Qwiso hash. I do it with my trim and people love it. I really want to go all the way and do Honey Oil with Hexane and the whole kit, but no one would buy it for the cost. :comfort: The other problem is no one would know how to smoke it. For winter harvest, I plan on investing in bubble bags finally.
