I don’t have any new pictures this week, but i do have an update.

First, i found out the other day that my pH meter has been off by 1. Who knows how that affected my garden, but i probably would have gotten higher yields off of both sides since i was likely feeding them acidic nutrient solutions. I have a shiny new bluelab pH meter on the way.

When i got the platinum XL-U LED light, the rep at Black Dog LED asked if I would put up some timelapse cameras to document both sides of my experiment. I sent them the cameras back and it looks like my garden will be on their website. Stoked.

Onto the future of my garden. I had fun documenting the process, so i’m going to keep posting pictures. But my garden will be different. I want to go all LED and a friend offered to throw down on another platinum XL-U light, but he prefers soil and we both decided to try some different nutrients and house and garden is what he recommended. We’ll be doing some different genetics, and i’ll put it in a different thread to make it easier to follow.

@oneshot: it was off by one full point. Way too much, i'm done with Hanna Pens. I have a Blue Lab in the mail.

@GP73LPC: i did harvest. I posted the results a few posts back... .395 grams/watt under Hortilux HPS, .485 grams/watt under Black Dog LED. That's 18.6% more to LED.

Very nice side to side comparison - and a great grow.
I think it's save to say that LED and HID are at least at the same level, maybe LED is even a little ahead when you factor in overall power draw, temperature issues etc.
Times are changing!

Wow Great tread thanks for taking the time to do this . I Currently just bought a 600w HPS and Ballast ugh so want the LED instead, maybe ill do a test with my hps and when i get the LEDS ill do a test too. Question, Are u using LED for clones as well or T5's?

I recently gave myself the choice of buying four ounces of dispensary weed or one Lumigrow Pro 325. I chose the Lumigrow.

you'll love the lumigrow pro 325. i bought one last year to just to try itnow and just bought 4 lumigro pro 650.
when flowering, keep the blue around 6 or 7. you'll be amazed. my plants (c99 from female seeds) had such an even canopy it looks like i lst'd them. they were littered with budsites too.

we had alot of White Berry going around couple years back in Canada. The city was flooded with it. I liked it at first but quickly built a tolerance towards the strain. Not my fav. smoke.
