DRVKTR's WIFI 1200w Vert Tent

I mean that with the vents open for intake, light will get in during the dark period. I was under the impression that this is a bad thing. I have always tried to be as light proof as possible for flowering and just thought that open vents go against that.
@Bmac1 So long as the tent is in an always dark room, you don't have to worry about light leakage into the tent, when the lights go out. I would imagine the intake vents are a black mesh of some sort, which is also meant to dampen incoming light. Just gotta be conscious about the dark cycle when doing things passive.

Its weird because outdoors they grow under a full moon which can be significant light. I have had nanner issues but I think that may be due to more unstable genes than stress.

On the other hand, I just saw a friend do a run where every type of stress imaginable was brought on the plants, huge light leaks etc and not a nanner to be seen.

Yep. It's all about quality genetics, my friend.

@drvktr I noticed in your photos of the dome+tray that you didn't use all of the cubes. If you didn't already, put the unused ones into a ziploc bag for later. They'll stay hydrated. :dance013:

Dude thank you! I will do that now!

The clones were wilted overnight were looking scary... KitKat and another growbro gave me a few suggestions and I am happy to report all cuts have snapped back and stay upright with no support.

The tips/suggestions they gave were to trim most of the fan leaves back, also placing a piece of cardboard on the top of my clone dome to dampen light. I dont know which worked but im going to say it was both!

Late Night Update

Late Night Update

Yo peeps! Busy afternoon and late night tonight prepping the flowering tent and ultimately transferring all ladies to the flowering tent as well.

First id like to show the tripod light stand i put together. All I used was some nuts and a washer on a cheap camera tripod I got at the thrift store. Thing is stable and I can adjust the height. It will be nice to have so I can move it out of the way when i need to get in there. Of course I cant take any of the credit and can give it all to Hundred Gram Oz ( https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=239578 )

A shot of the girls just before putting them in flowering tent...

Got it all set up and now I have them in there with a new thermometer i picked up and im going to adjust the side vents for my passive intake to find the correct balance for the tent size. This is the first time I have run with in this tent.

Reaaaaally liking that tripod mount, how much did you pick that up for? I didn't want to build one for mine since I kinna have a place to hang them but this looks like a much better way to go about it.

What're you going to do for the stretch period? Does it go up high enough to keep the bulb above the tops?

Ladies are lookin' healthy and happy!

Nice looking setup drvktr. Watch out those fire leaning wifi's will
stretch like a mofo. My tallest went from 15" to 46" at 22 days of flower.

Kit Kat - I picked up the tripod at the thrift store for $13, went to Home depot to get some nuts n blots but upon returning home realized i got the wrong size.... ALAS, i made it work with the original bolt on the tripod and a random nut i found in the garage. I drilled the back piece of the mogul socket/baseplate and screwed that fucker on! No heat transfer to the tripod.
During Stretch I actually have 2 lights (may not be able to see it in the prior pics but shes there) To answer your question yes the light holder telescopes vertically about another foot, the tripod is also at its min height, so that can go up about another foot if needed.

Yo OG thanks for the kind words! Been thinkin bout that stretch for a while, didnt have much time or motivation this last week but i caught the get it done bug and hopefully getting em into flower now and hope for the best. The taller phenos which I think is the Fire leaning ones are already at around 32", im visualizing a 5'-6' plant.. well PLANTS hahah. This is the first run with these beans so we shall find the bottom bitch and exploit her next run!

Few Pics

Few Pics

Hey peeps! Just found my "missing" sd card that had some pics from 6/20. Ill have to get recent pics (prolly 2moro) but the difference from the 20th till now is just out of control. OlderGrower was right, these ladies like to STRETCH!!!

First shot is of a rooting clone. Far I have about a 65% success rate, but everyday another starts to show. Once they do start to show the roots explode! When they get thirsty i hit the root cube with an eyedropper with a couple drops of RootsXL...

Here are a few shots of the ladies in flower. They have since grown another 500 feet and a little defoliation, but you get the idea.

Did I mention i dont like the donut cage setup? "Id like to mention i dont like the cage setup". There we go.

Next run ill be making up some screens for the perimeter as opposed to having trellis in front. I doubt this will have much affect at this point... These ladies are going to be 6' easy.

I should be around the show 2moro and ill grab some updated pics!!!

PS. Only the top 600w has been on so far. Were having a heatwave right now and havent been able to figure out what to do with all the extra hot air, so im holding off on running the second light at this time.

Looking good man. Im keeping an eye on this one. We have a very similar setup and I am waiting for my wifi beans to show up.

Thanks Bmac! So far i love every trait of these girls for my setup. The shorter stockier girls (white pheno) are starting to stretch almost as tall as the OG leaners. Cant wait to finish em up.
Clones are rippin now and i couldnt be happier.

If you are running vert. this is an epic strain to work with

I built some vert screens like KitKat and plan on running 4 around a 600. I will eventually add another 600 but not likely on the first run. I have been waiting and waiting for some Greenhouse seeds to germinate and well, Im still waiting 5 days later.

I need to get something started so I may do some other beans first as the wifis likely wont be here for a couple weeks.

YES go with Kitkats screens. Im going to use the cage thats around the light now for animal fencing, and gonna build a few screens. Im not digging the available work space i have with this donut cage.
These wifis are the lankiest plants ive grown. They would BLOW UP with a manageable trellis. They still prolly have a week of stretch still, i think they may hit the 6' mark. But with stacked bulbs, i dont think well have much issue.

ACK ITS TO DAMN HOT IN THERE!!!! Been hittin 95 the last day or so in the tenter. need to figure this out asap. Fortunately the Wifi appears to be a hearty plant and isnt showing signs of heat stress, but the sooner i resolve the sooner they can focus on growing.

check craigslist for the an AC you definitely need one. I got a window for unit for 50 bucks and its saved me from shutting down for summer. I'm running 1800 watts with a 5kBTU unit staying steady at 77f lights on.

Snapped a few pics of progress this morning. The ladies are SWELTERING but not showing sings of being extremely angry from all the heat. There is a nice rainstorm comin through right now, hoping to cool down the garage to give em a lil peace from the heat.
