Just like the title says i'm looking for the best nl available in seed form. I have already done some research and sensi and seedsman are the two i'm considering. I really wanna try and get as pure nl as I can. I used to grow sensi's back in the day, but it's been so long I forgot what it was like as a plant. I also grew nl x bb from world of seeds. The strain was awesome just it always gets full on male flowers. I have a nl x sk going right now from world of seeds but I highly doubt its gonna smell and taste like the nl x bb. So who's grown em and which should I get. Thanks in advance.

honestly if you find a true NL....like NL#5 or genetics that even resemble Northern Lights..

I will give you a prize...HAHA.....LOL good luck with that one....

Dr.Atomic has an NL

But Northern Lights IMO..is gone....just like Skunk#1

Nirvana NL or Peak NL. Can't go wrong with either.

No shit, the two cheapest NL's you can get are probably the best representations of NL available

Ortega from Mr Nice is NL1 x NL5 and a solid bet. It can take some searching for a keeper.

Zoolander holds a very special NL#1 x NL#5 male - think it was via Reeferman stock...

I'd love to see his male paired to say, LA Affie....

That aside, when I think of NL, I think of classic pine. So, when that is in part what I'm looking for in an NL line. Those plants CAN be found in Dr. Atomic's version. They are not the common pheno though. The more common plant is much more sweet / coastal breeze / kinda fruity and I didn't care too much for it in the grand scheme. BUT - the pine pheno, was very potent smoke, very indica. Certainly worthy growing...

I was around in the '80s in southern OR when the good NL was everywhere. Vey good strain, no doubt about it.

I got some NL seeds from Ministry of Cannabis a couple years back and actually ended up with a great pheno; potent and resiny, smells like peaches and cat piss. Just like the old days. Not sure if they are still around.

Just grww out a pack of 303 seeds NL "citrus". Got a total of 5 fems and used, and still have 2 studs. This stuff was wonderful, classic NL! Citrus and stony, very pleasant and large yields. We made a pollinationg using both males made f2s. Very uniform. A win for sure.

Peace

Jordan of the Islands claims to have tweaked their NL for twenty generations.

The last NL I smoked was of unknown origin and I considered it about the most boring weed ever.

if you say peaches and cat piss what it USED to smell like ie the old northern lights - then that is some what comparable to what the Dr. Atomic more common pheno is like... I can certainly see the peaches side of it...

I went with Classic Seeds NL. Gonna germ them tonight. Have not read of smoke reports with this strain yet.

I grew a Nirvana fem NL and got a sativa pheno. Very good smoke in every way, really potent. Crazy amount of trichs on her.

I recently grew out some of Classic's NL #1. Phenomenal plants. Lots of vigor, huge baseball sized nuggets, nice pure Indica branch structure on them. Had one pheno that was SUPER stout and stacked node on node, dealt with a few mold issues on the squat one, due to the time of year, and environment that it was grown in (Cold winter light dep). They are still curing right now, so I can't give you a smoke report yet, but I'm expecting it to be powerful, because they were covered in trichomes. Pretty true breeding, almost all of them were identical in structure and stature, except for the one squat pheno. The variation was more in the nose, which ranged from sweet bubblegum and peach to garlic and cat piss. I grew about 7 in total. Will post a smoke report once they are cured up. It is my understanding that Classic got his seeds from Indian Joe, the original breeder of the Northern Lights. I've grown other NL crosses, and I definitely see the influence of the NL now that I've seen what Classic's look like.

Peace,
Bamboo
