Update w Pics and Question "Are these starting to flower?"

Update w Pics and Question "Are these starting to flower?"

Hey buds!
Not a huge update but some pics and a question or two. The ladies seem to be growing fine, look fine and healthy, and I think ive identified 2 diff phenos... A few plants that are Fire leaning and a the others are White leaning.(dont quote me, but i was reading somewhere that my taller ones were Fire leaners and shorter ones were White leaners).

My question is, lookin at these pics are my ladies starting to flower? I think its normal to get some pistils but i cant really tell, i dont have enough experience in this department if anyone could help me out. I hope im just freakin, but it would suck lol.

PICS!

I'll tag along for this one. It still looks to early to tell if they are in flower but they are definitely throwing pistols. I wouldn't freak out, give it a few more days. What's your light schedule?

Then its just preflowering. If vegged long enough plants will show sex and throw either pistils or balls. Its just proof its a girl

Like sunny said, they're just preflowering - means your ladies are riproarin' and ready to go. :)

Good looking plants, can't wait to see what they turn into!

update

update

hey peeps! still goin strong. I have been building a workbench/shelves for in front of my tents. This allows me to open the door to the garage without worries of people seeing the show.

Ladies have been growing well! Tallest one is at 24" and shortest at 17". I am going on a roadtrip for a week and some change so I was worried about them getting to tall, and im not ready to flip yet.
So I decided to top em all. So last night I went in and topped em, hopefully this will stall vertical growth for a little while while im on my trip. My roommate will be taking care of the watering... using K.I.S.S. im sure he wont have a problem!

6/6 UPDATE With Pics

6/6 UPDATE With Pics

Sup peeps! just got back from a roadtrip and all is well. The ladies were taken care of by my roomate and by the healthy look of these ladies he followed the damn directions! KISS does work even with lazy roomates!

All girls took to the topping, however the shorter pheno plants dont appear to be making both of the growing tips top priority. On the taller phenos they all look like a nice Y is coming up. Im not really thinking about keepin the smaller phenos, as im searching for lanky stretchy and branchy, which ive found in the taller plants. I have one picked as my mom but will wait till after harvest to make final decision.

I ordered a root riot cloning kit and a bottle of Roots Excellurator. Should be here tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully ill take a few clones and get these girls ready for flowering in the next few days or so!

Now... ON WITH THE PICS!!!!

Looking good! Nice call on getting the Roots, it's pricey but in lieu of brewing up a compost tea I haven't run into something that seems to work better.

Soak those root riot cubes in water+Roots before sticking your cuts in and I'm sure you'll notice a difference... this last set of cuts I took myself I did that with half, and left the other half normal - the roots half rooted 5-7 days faster.

Keep it up mang! Looks lush.
Did you take cuts from each plant, and number? Can't wait to find out more about the phenos.
When are you planning to flower? Don't forget about the stretch.

@Bmac thanks for stopping by duder!

@Kit Kat Luckily I got an amazon giftcard for my girthday and nabbed a bottle! I didnt see your post until after taking clones... Do you think itd be possible for me to mix up a solution of roots xl and water and maybe use an eye dropper to drop on top of the cubes? If I have the means to speed em up, I want that advantage!

@genghis - I took cuts from my favotire 5 of the 7. Wrote down description of each plant and marked each clone spot in the tray. I took 3-4 clones of my favorite 5. I picked 3 taller phenos and 2 shorter. From what ive read around the internet, the taller ladies are FIRE OG leaning and shorter plants lean toward The White's characteristics. Since im doing vertical, i like that the stretchyness of the taller ones. I havent forgot about stretch! Tallest girl is almost half of tent height. I am planning on flipping them probably sunday or possibly tomorrow night. Im leaving for a trip next Friday, so id like to get em going before then.

CLONES

CLONES

Ok a new update that isnt just progress checkup... I took my first clones ever today!
I picked 5 of 7 of the girls. 3 taller phenos and 2 shorter. I took 3-4 cuts from each plant and marked on both the rooting tray, but as well as a notepad, hopefully i wont get em mixed up!

Like I said this was my first attempt at cloning. If anyones sees anyting amiss or something that could be improved upon, please let me know!

ON WITH THE PICS!

Sum cuts (i trimmed the leaf tips a little more after taking these shots)

At the start you mentioned that your intake is passive through the tent vents. Are light leaks not a concern? Just curious as all as I just picked up a DR150 as well and trying to hash out the details Im going to run with.

Bmac - I cant wager in on light leaks from the DR150 tent as im still in veg. I will say tho that my last run in the 2x4 tent used same passive intake and light weak was not an issue. Also like to point out that my tents are in a dark garage, and even with lights on the vents are low enough that light leaks have never been an issue.
I dont think it should be a problem for the DR150...

I mean that with the vents open for intake, light will get in during the dark period. I was under the impression that this is a bad thing. I have always tried to be as light proof as possible for flowering and just thought that open vents go against that.

Its weird because outdoors they grow under a full moon which can be significant light. I have had nanner issues but I think that may be due to more unstable genes than stress.

On the other hand, I just saw a friend do a run where every type of stress imaginable was brought on the plants, huge light leaks etc and not a nanner to be seen.

Been a couple years since my last run so just trying to get back up to speed on everything is all. Looking forward to following along.

I don't see why that wouldn't work.
