Hey knowledgeable folks of IC!
The title says it all, a few minutes research leads me to believe I wanted reasonably thin, optically clear tempered glass sheeting cut to size, am I correct?
Any experience, tips, techniques or criticisms will be welcomed:tiphat:

Not too thin (at least 5/32" thickness if not full 1/4") and you also want the edges sanded/beveled to eliminate the possibility of lamp heat causing stress fractures from the micro fractures along cut glass edges

INC, thanks man, solid info!

SU, yeah, in an ideal world, sadly there is a dearth of that sort of thing in my country and am very wary of importing items of that nature. My paranoia dictates that I need to do it, perhaps with a little help from my friends.. (wanders off whistling)

Almost forgot...

Am a glass blower. I was going to do the DIY thing too but then found one on eBay for $55 shipped. Cheaper than tubing, fittings, etc...

Good luck either way!
