Thoughts on Flushing

So i was talking with a buddy of mine yesterday and we got to talking about how different plants flush.

we have noticed ever single thing that is chem or chem dominate on flush the leaves will yellow and eat themself almost instantly where as other plants will yellow and stay yellow for a long long time before they eat themselfs.


we are wondering if it is a nute thing. Obviously nitrogen is the green in the leaf we were thinking maybe a K def? I notice this on different plants and always wondered. Does anyone have any thoughts?

its be nice to know that we can also diagnose on flush.

I meant the chemdog genetics PTB ,I actually thought i had a major problem during flush(DWC) but i also had a girl in MG soil that did the same thing,
at the same time my others did as you described ,shit my cj's didnt really even go yellow with a 10 day flush ,and the cd cross was trimmed and hangin

With organics I can have them not drop one leaf ever(stay bright green until the end), or have them go yellow like they do naturally. I prefer to let them yellow.

from what i understand PTB is referin to why the cd dominate strains finishes the way it does at flush or the end .nothing to do with organic growing or not
I wonder what would happen if you raised the K in flower with those certain strains

You should be able to completely control the way a plant grows by what you "feed" it. If you don't want krunchy yellow leaves at the end you don't have to have them. No matter what the strain.

now the leaves on mine yellowed quick and "ate" themselves .not cruncy sucked the nutes out quick, dumbass
were side by side with multiple other strain 5 + ,flowered at the same time flushed at the same time Blah blah Blah

i agree, organic or not the discussion should be coherent and based in a semblence of science. It's always helpful to back your statements up with a non-primary, peer reviewed source. In other words the primary source of this thread is the observations of a couple gardeners. maybe you can do the heavy research for me and find a place in agricultural/horticultual research where leaves eating them selves is described? So I don't need to re-read your post 3-4 times to understand

I for one am going to make a effort to spell more correctly, use more correct punctuation, and tone it down with the E-Ego. it's just too easy to call people names over the internet that you wouldn't in person.

Flushing is good terminology for the chems that some folks force feed their plants. I'd want that 'shit' out of my buds before smoking them, too.
