EZ clone inserts too soft

HUGE

I have had 10 runs on this thing with 99% success. But this last round I got some new foam insert that are much softer than the normal ones. And what seems to be happening is the clones are growing into the foam and stalling. Which doesent happen with the hard ones they just grow down and push the foam aside not grow into it. They have been in there for 2 weeks and I can see little white tips sticking out of the bottom surface of the foam plugs. Like they are full of roots but they won't go down into the water any further. What the fuck is this shit.

I have recently experienced a similar problem with some of the original inserts that came with the unit.
I have had several runs on this 120 and this was the first time I have had roots growing into the neoprene.

On that particular run I tried the EWC tea addition as mentioned in the EZ-Cloner Review.
After the initial rooting I left some of them in there for awhile and when I went to open the neoprene pucks there were roots growing into it.

This never happened to me on a plain water run.

Are you using any additives?

the pucks you get for e z clones blow. spend the extra money and get the better pucks.

you can get the inserts for the turbo klone...they are grey and are hard like the old EZ cloner ones. And they are the same size so no issues.

Yeah EZ Clone sell two kinds, hard and soft... I think they are priced the same. Still cheaper than permaclone.. but you get what you pay for
