is flushing worth it,dose it matter

a m8 of mine has 4 BF blue cheese on there 6th week of flowering there all healthy stinking fat girls all the pistols are still white an are not showing any signs of turning amber with it being a 8 week flowering plant he is wondering when he should start to flush them,i have told him to give them another week a least b4 he starts to flush, when i used to grow i would always start the flush just as the plant started to show signs that the pistols are starting to turn amber, but i think he wants more than just my say so cause im no pro grower an he knows it,any advice on this matter would be great :plant grow:

yes, yes, and it depends on how frequently hes watering. if daily in coco i would wait till week 7 and then go 9, in soil i like a 3 week 'flush' so now would be appropriate.

I've had good results with little flushing. I recently sampled some that was fed on the last week and the results are fantastic. Great smell and great taste. That crop was using vermifire soil and veganic nutrients.

I've also sampled crops that were grown in a fortified soil like PK's and the girls were fed a guano/fish tea until the end. That stuff burned clean as well.

The girls also blow up in their last weeks so I like the idea of feeding them until the last minute so they can pack it on!

Between the clean and tasty aformentioned crops and the observation of blowing up, I'm not big into flushing. Maybe experiment and flush some now, some next week and one little to not at all.

I have noticed the general consensus on this site is too flush for a week and there are a lot of people on this site with more knowledge than me so no promises on my way!

thanks growers,im thinking it every 1 to there own way of doing things,i must admit when i used to grow b4 the bust i never used to flush an never once noticed a diffrence in smell, taste, the way it burnt or nothing

unflushed can still taste and smell good, but if properly faded/flushed for 3 weeks the flavor is more pronounced, less cough, and burns smoother. Alot has to do with the drying process to make perfect final product to.

The flush helps with making the buds more desirable. It also saves you some money because you don't have to use more nutrients.

In a pinch you can use something like Sledgehammer Flush from FF, but I would recommend using the flushing agent, let soil get dry again, and then plain water them fairly heavy, and it should suffice on flushing buildup IMO.

you can use boranitecare clearex or sledgehammer for $25 to flush or make your own by mixing table sugar with water at a rate of 5 tablespoons per gallon

final flush

final flush

I've used advanced nutrients final flush with good results. follow directions on bottle, usually start 2 weeks prior to harvest.

worse thing about not flushing for me is that you can't get a steady burn and have to keep relighting

not flushing is gross.

your smoking and inhaling rich nutrients that were absorbed by the plant but never cleared out and used up due to a flush.

sounds like a big headache to me, not a good smoke sesh.
