Day 15

Day 15

Things are happening fast! My Wolfs are growing.

I have moved down the players since they started to get yellow spots on the leafs. I think it was because they were too close to the light and heat.

Since I planted random seeds, it's pretty funny to see the different between them. If you look at the pictures, you can see that Wolf Gretzky and Wolf Kopitar have a totally different approach.

7 days 12/12h has past, with some big troubles for my players.

This is a picture from day 15, still in 18/6h:

This is pictures of the same plant day 25, 7 days of 12/12h:

The big leafs down at the bottom has just died, while the plant has an awkward hanging style on top. The leafs on top is really dark green with white veins, and the stem is turning purple.

My other plants are also starting to yellow down at the bottom.

What is going on?

Hey. Surprised no ones helping you out. If you ever get stuck RESEARCH. Ive researched for over 8 years and still feel like a noob.

I like your Microwave. Now a couple problems.

You need a ppm meter and a ph meter (digital) I think you want the ph AFTER adding the nutes around 6.0 - 6.5 ph and you also want to measure the 'run off' which is water that drips from the bottom to make sure the soil ph is fine. INVEST this box WILL get you free weed if you take care of your babys and will pay for itself.

Also what, if any, nutes are you using? Not giving detail and just asking "what do I do" will possibly agrivate the more 'experienced' growers and they will not comment asking you to post all this information. Post day temperatures (at different times of day if its different), night temperatures, what ph nuted water your giving them, the run off ph, what nutrients, how much ppm of nutrients (which is just as important as ph reading and will kill plants if you dont monitor and just guess), Im having a mind blank for being sober for too long..... post even more stuff you think isnt necessary. If they die, be positive and learn from it. (and get some real seeds :p)

You need a fan blowing on the plants to make them sturdy and for better circulation. Even if its a small PC fan. There is plenty of material on this and computer sites on how to wire a PC fan.

You NEED a thermometer. You want it, even if temperary, at the top of the plant to see how hot it gets "on" the plant. And as ambient tempature fluctuates you want to know on hotter days how hot does it get. Also it would be nice if you could control your houses thermostat to get the box at the perfect temperature.

You should plug your exhaust hole or plug the passive intake. You want to draw the air 'across' the plants. So you want the intake on one side and the exhaust on the other. This will help your yields and your plants health and I would say its pretty damn necessary.

Those plants look like they're on the verge of dying. Looks like they are over watered, need watering, or heat stressed? It looks dry though? I am by no means a plant doctor. Also if possible you want to water as soon as possible to the lights just getting turned on. It keeps the plants less stressed and from being overwatered at night and not being able to suck up the water. Its bad for them. Post those pics over in the plant infermory section and do some research there as well. Are you giving the dirt time to dry out in between watering? I watered after the slightest bit of wilting to make sure they had a dry time. I am no expert though. I am pretty sure the yellowing of the bottom leaves is ok. The first set of leaves die off from my experience.

What room is the box in? looks like an attic or closet? You want there to get fresh air in there so the plants don't eat all the co2 up.

Now. After you get these plants healthy again, if they can revive, grow them out to sex them like stated above and take clones. Also plenty of info on this site how to clone and it is super easy after you understand the concept. If it were me, well I never used bag seed just because I like to smoke the best of the best, or at least what I think may be the best. I would invest in seeds. This growing thing will work if you give it thought and effort and thats why I would invest. Making the box took effort. Unfortunetly I'm in no position to grow as of now and will be more than happy to help.

Than get a screen. And do RESEARCH on screen aka scrog. If you don't like the idea of screens you could also tie down the branches known as lst or technically a form of lst (low stress trainging) To me tying down is less organized than filling a screen resulting in less yield, for ME. I think you want a 1.5 - 2" screen (its been a while for me.) as stated you want to fill around 80% of it. (i thought it was more like 70%, I am no expert though) Nobody answered your filling the screen question. DO RESEARCH! It will get you great results and thats how I learned so much without posting and asking. Its been asked before, trust me. All you do is once the plant is sticking up through the screen bend it over the screen, back under a different hole and up a new hole in the screen. The plant will adjust and you are not hurting it at all. Keep doing that until the screen fills up. Most importantly look at other scrogs! look at pictures, it'll help more than me telling you.

Welcome to the site and to this world. Check out the diy link o rama. Google search that. There is some great ideas and by looking at other designs you start to get the picture. I will try to keep checking up on you. I am busy. If you get stuck research! and fix that damn plant or get some good seeds. I would fix it and grow it out, that way hopefully you wont kill the good plants. no offense.

Is your only exhaust at plant level?

If so.
You really should be removing air from the top around the heat sources(lights).

They look downright de-hydrated! Only way this hardy plant will like that short of being up-rooted (Just had 1 of my seedlings decapitated by a sheet of plywood yesterday myself, we take losses...)! Keep it up Wolfy, and you'll get hooked...

Bottom yellowing indicates a N deficiency , but seems your plants have bigger problems. They are either thirsty or have root issues. What is your soil mix?

Holly shit guys, thanks for the response. I have not been on icmag for a while.

I saved the plants! I re-potted them into bigger pots.

The Microwave is really warm at the moment, around 35*C. I know it's too hot but the plants seems to do alright. Not really much I can do, this summer has been hot as hell.

Some of the flowers are touching the LED on top but they seems to like it a lot. I have a fan on top as well that is cooling them down a little bit.

I am using a screen and I like the way it works.

Players have like a month left in the box before I'm going a way for a few weeks.

They are resting at the moment, but I will post pictures later tonight. I think I have something you guys would like to see. :)

Again THANK YOU for the respons!

Much love!

hmm maybe i missed it or it was never clarified but is that a actual microwave? that'd be cool to watch them grow with out disturbing there sanctuary...not really stealth though
