Making BHO - input needed

Hey guys!

Been giving this bho stuff a try and have been getting pretty good results I feel for just starting and having like 3 runs done. I'm really looking for more input and advice on getting it to the clear state that I like so much. How long to vacuum for, heat etc..

Looks like it is cooling too much during vac. I think using a mason jar is not the safest way to vac because they aren't design to be under that kind of pressure. If you really want to get it clear you need to figure out how to maintain heat while the oil is under vacuum. Ideally that would mean getting a proper vac setup.

To answer your questions I would shoot for 115-125 in vac until reaction stops... that last part is very strain dependent and might call for raising temps even higher, only experience can give you exact answers.

Thank you for the quick response montroller. I get what you are saying about the mason jar and have already started to make my own vacuum chamber out of a stainless steel container just have to find somewhere to get a lid for it.

I will work on that and getting the heat in the right area on my griddle. Thanks again for the input.

I'm getting ready to do my first simple bho test run. I have a 1x8 tube , 300ml bottle of good butane, trimmings and buds that are fresh frozen, and some coffee filters. Is that good enough to pull off my test run?

I just made a thread asking the same thing yours lighter than mine but I'm only heat purging so that maybe part of the reason mines darker I'm tryna get it lighter as well. Wish you luck

also.. when blowing nugs .. ur going to pull a decent amount of wax from those buds. keep your tubes really cold.. way lower then most people can gget there tubes.. honestly.. .. and if u really want clear.. use a few pyrexs.. once u start to see a lil bit of cloudy coming out your tubes.. switch to a different pyrex.. then ull have a batch of shatter and a batch of wax or honeycomb.
