Day 11

Day 11

The yellow splotches on the first leaves of the "Red" grew larger over night, but I think they colored up a little in the last couple hours - holding thumbs.
Generally, the plants seem to do well.

The "Red" is still leading in internode count:
picture.php

The "Green" has larger leaves and seems to be more vigorous (tension in the leaves):
picture.php

However, JOY: they are already producing side branches on nodes one and two (Green first, red second pic):

Day 12

Day 12

Startet with two hours of "night" today, will increase in the next two days stepwise to 6 hours.

The "Red" doesn't look good, leaves are missing tension, splotches are almost the same:
picture.php

The "Green" is doing very well, vigorous leaves, side branches developing fast, entire green almost at one level:
picture.php

Will start 2 clusters of the Blackstar later to help the "Red" (hope it helps).

Day 12

Day 12

Interim update,still Day 12.

The "Red" is improving under the Blackstar, leaves showing more tension:
picture.php

I deduct that the chinese "crap" LED is only good for small seedlings, maybe shining from the sides was also detrimental.

Current setup:
picture.php

Will lower the Blackstar gradually during the next days.

Day 13

Day 13

Things are looking very good again, the "Red" is showing nice tension in the leaves, and the side branches are developing fast. The plants definitely love the Blackstar.

Nothing more to add atm, just some pics:

Day 14

Day 14

Machappy, that's what I think, too.

Now it's two weeks after the sprouts popped through the soil, and so far the grow is proceeding well.
The "Red" is difficult to keep happy, sometimes leaves are drooping, sometimes they are spread straight - I really don't know why. Maybe I will learn during the course of this grow.
Side branches are developing early and fast.

Day 16

Day 16

Everything on track, plants are developing well, even the "Red" is all around happy.

The Red:

The Green will probably develop to a real beauty, with tight internodes and nice side branching:

Day 16

Of course I did mess up last update - this was day 15, and here is the real day 16 update.
Nothing much to say, plants are moving along nicely.

Day 18

Day 18

Today I made reflectors for the CFLs from aluminium foil. Anything fancier would have increased weight at the tip of the swan necks too much so that I couldn't place them as freely; and I think the aluminium gets the job done:
picture.php

Generally the plants do well:
picture.php

However, the "Red" is still making toubles. There is some nitrogen deficiency (I think, will feed slightly tomorrow).
And she alreday started preflowers. Although I'm happy to see her female, I think this is far to early, even for an auto. Isn't it?
picture.php

AND she has something growing from the cotyledon-site - never seen that before:

I would say you're right on track. It will veg until around 21 days then be in full flower according to sweet seeds

Day 19

Day 19

Today was a bad day for my plants...
I planned to let them dry out a bit on the weekend to allow for some low stress training. Early Saturday the plants showed signs of deficiency at the lower/older leaves, therefore I reasoned it would be good to do LST now and feed them afterwards with some light nute solution, which I did.

The Red after LST:
picture.php

The green after LST:
picture.php

And both together:
picture.php

However, the lower/older leaves got worse over time. By evening things were looking real grim, and as I thought it to be Mag deficiency I decided to do a foliar feeding with Mag enriched water, giving them an ugly white coating on the leaves (seen in the next updates).

Day 20

Day 20

So this is when the deficiency exacerbated, and I did a Mag feeding of the soil. The plants looked really miserable at the end of the day, and I felt I was loosing them.

The Red:

The Green:

The coloring of the leaves looks much worse under the LED than under daylight - good for early diagnosis.

Chill dude. I'm running a Black Cream right now and I'm in Day 60 (or so). My plant has gone through multiple sets of dying fan leaves over the past 60 days. Must be the strain or something because my Cream Manadarine right next to it has been perfectly green throughout the grow. Expect of lot of yellowing / drying up of fan leaves from now until the end of the grow, especially the bottom ones. If your pheno is anything like mine, its going to start stretching like crazy the next couple of weeks.

I grew in FFOF Happy Frog amended with perlite and FFOF nutes under CFLs also. Wish I had a sweet LED like you. Good luck on the grow!! Looking forward to seeing your yields.

Day 21

Day 21

Thank you, FreeTheWeed and all others following this diary.
I was seriously thinking about restarting the entire grow, as I feel the plants suffered much and the yield will probably also be affected.
As you can see from the pics the Red recovered slightly, but the Green is still stuck in it's growth.

Red:

Green:

Both (notice the stains/discolorations on the fan leaves):

Day 23

Day 23

No Day 22 update, as I was too demotivated to take pics - so this is Day 23.
However, FreeTheWeed's comment and improvements of the Red gave me confidence to continue, which I will probably do (at least with the Red).
FreeTheWeed, you said your Black Creams also lost fan leaves - does estimated yield nevertheless look good?

The Red showed quite nice side branch development after recovery (however, she will probably loose 2 sets of fan leaves - sob, sob):
picture.php

The green is still stuck, I will give here a few more days, but without special support:
