Kudos to this mayor! Jury nullification should spread across this country in every cannabis case. Every cannabis defendant should demand a jury trial, and the jury should quash all of these cases. This is the only way the people's will can prevail over an out of control federal government, bent on controlling every move we make.

So far so good w filner...he seems to be solid in his stance...the people he is listening too on the subject and who he has aligned himself with were kinda iffy IMO....but they seem to either be giving good advice or he is filtering what they tell him and judging for himself....we will see if he sticks to his guns...he seems to genuinely despise goldsmith...hope that hate doesn't dissipate...also..we have yet to see how he does w the rest of this cities many issues....but as far as cannabis goes...we surely appear to have elected a winner

i read a story about a woman who posted flyers on cars in the parking lot getting arrested for jury tampering. she was doing it because her son was up for a "third strike" and was going to go to prison for the rest of his life for stupid shit.

according to the story the son went to prison and the mother went to court. when her lawyer demanded a jury trial and told the prosecutor that the letter she had been putting on cars would be exhibit A the charges were dropped. it was to late to help her son but it is obvious that the prosecutor knew it would be a bad thing if the jurors in any case were actually aware of their rights

when the legal system is run by fucking lawyers (and it is) it is not the place to go looking for justice

I mean what is his motivation here? A last stand to make his mark on the political landscape? Just don't trust any of them.
