Sexing, Male "looking" ball now has pistil? Anyone?

Hey there,

I thought i'd post this more directly, I had a plant start male (preflowers, no ball cluster formed), then showed female hairs everywhere, and kept an eye out on the suspicious male ball... now it's got a pistil emerging, and some calyxs' have 3 hairs... anyone experience this? Worried the ball on other sites of plant will end up being male- while these are showing pistils.

I am currently experiencing this exact same thing with one of my plants that's 4 weeks into flower, it looked male at first then exploded with pistils everywhere. I too saw a few balls with pistils coming out, and i'm noticing a lot of 3-pistil calyxes as well. Not sure what to think about it besides that it's a hermaphrodite, but not a bad one (assuming it is even possible that there exist varying degrees of hermaphrodites).

I'm still growing it out because i need the meds, just been keeping a close eye on it and clipping any ball-like structures that i see pop up. Best case scenario is that the weird combination male/female flowers are infertile and won't seed my other girls. But we will see what happens.... I grow for myself exclusively and don't mind encountering a few seeds in my buds.

Update:

Over the last couple days, my possible hermie went from looking totally female to being covered with bananas popping out all over the place in between calyxes. It is now chopped up and buried in my backyard. Moral of the story - i should have just axed it as soon as i had any doubts.

i have seen what looks like this in very early sexing then with some maturity they form only female parts. but i have never seen it this clear and magnified. i thought i was going crazy. i started to put all the suspected males into full flower just to check if they really were males and i got some females out of them.

Pick them off, if they keep showing up in the newer growth then get rid of the plant.

I had a plant start dropping sacks then it stopped after I picked them off and now its a female. Found a banana or two but nothing serious.

You gotta keep a good eye on them

not Herm as far as I can tell.

some varieties I 've grown do this ... which I take to be a seed sheath. that is, as if the plant is preparing to put on seed but it can't cos it's not fertilised.

they'll drop off.

happy future female flowering to you Sir!
