Ive had all my dep plants in since 20th of april and they were doing fantastic for the most part, nights have been mild and they are fully covered with supp lighting for the night, no heaters. Ive been meaning to post a pic but working from 6-9 everyday Im beat most days and low on priority list. Flipping June1. If I do any full seasons I think I will plant them June 15 this year otherwise they will just be blacked out/manipulated to finish by sept 1.But yea, the wind.....

Yeah the wind is here, imo its going to get worse as global warming increases ocean temps but thats another thread

the big ones out now have either their first set of remesh cage on them or some big tomato cages...the smaller stuff is either getting stronger stems or is tied to a bamboo stake...

nice plants goldfields and thanks for the tips zro...i was always told by a few of the masters here that june 6th-10th was good timing so i was a bit surprised to see most people going earlier this year...last year some blue dreams went out as late as june 23rd and still hit 3.5lb per 200...

anyways gonna bump it up a week here and start planting as soon as i can...

just finished leveling some spots on the hillside for our 200's, its almost go time.. hope everyones gardens are doing well.

Haha! It's the Headless Farmer!
Taking my first real attempt at an outdoor run. I have almost 40 plants outside with supplemental lighting for the last 30 days. No sign of flowers and will likely keep the lighting on until June 15th or so. I have 4-5 of each of my collection, including 3 retiring bonsai mothers.

Have about half transplanted into 30g smart pots, and will likely do the rest in 20s. They are in FFOF with Subcool's Supper Soil in the bottom third.

Finally got them into the 200's. I am hoping to hit the 5# mark this year. I have been flirting around the 4# range. Hopefully this year the ganja gods will be good to me.

Veg N Out

One degree colder and my season would have been over, made it through unscathed...I was crying, then the sun rose.

It sure was a cold 1 last night for sure, and my greenhouse seedlings and outdoor starts hopefully didn't skip a beat, all got a nice PPD foliar at sunset so I got worried thru the night, but all is good so far!
Nice greenhouses igrowkushbitch, looks like your in for a full house, make sure you do your stretches before working in the greenhouses, those ladies are going to make you work!

I appreciate the comment veg n out about wasting money spraying PPD at night, but have been informed that dusk or dawn was proper and effective, but can you elaborate on more, instead of just telling me I'm wasting money, thought we all were here to learn and help others not just comment on waste, sorry not trying to be an ass, but come on!

the blues didn't like this cold and they're showing their displeasure with the customary fan leaf droop. the others seemed to handle the cold better but none of them are looking thrilled at this point. suppose I'm not thrilled either looking at the weather forecast for my area...

ahh decisions decisions....maybe i should just wait until june 6th like i planned...seeing the rest of yalls plant early made me want to join the club! remember if all else fails you can always plant blue dreams mid to late june and still get 3-4lb plants...too early to declare failure keep your heads up.

what are yall thoughts on next weeks weather wunderground is saying rain but a few others are saying its only 10% chance...

the latest forecast models are showing a continued somewhat unsettled pattern continuing now through the end of next week. Below normal temps continue. Best chance of precip comes in the Tue-Thu time period from the next fairly organized system for this time of year. Doesn't look like it has much moisture to work with though... precip will likely be showery and scat'd and mainly focused on NW CA and mtns of NorCA north of Sac. Amounts generally light, not a widespread washout but as you know if you get hit by a heavy shower/tstrm it can feel that way. Definitely a risk of that next week.

Another cold night tngt, dew points are low and if you are in a spot where the winds die off then expect similar temps to last ngt. National Weather service is continuing a freeze warning for interior mendo/trinity for tngt

I would take rain over this wind this time of year. My forecast shows wind for another 10days!!!! Hope all this wind beefs up my stocks and helps in the long run. The truth however is they are hurting, and this will no doubt slow them down. You know the wind is bad when you wake up at 5am and it's still howling..........

The freakin wind has been a biatch here in CO as well, plants are in a GH, so not to bad, but the GHs are taken a beatin.

I'm holdin firm for June planting, we always get some nasty cold/freeze/ hail end of may early June. Few years back had planted in may, first week of June I had a garden full of 2ft sticks pokin outta the ground. Hail stripped um clean, needless to say it wasn't a productive year.

No wind here East, but the sun hasn't shown itself in about two weeks. My plants are basically stalled vertically. I just hope they're taking advantage of the mild weather to get themselves well rooted.

Planted the gals into their final pots 6 days ago (Greenhouse) with supp lighting (25' Xmas rope lights for a 20' greenhouse). Looking good so far, didn't skip a beat from transplant, way ahead of last year in terms of branches, same height but triple the tops already!

Wind has been working my GH over as-well, need to make some modifications.

Looking good everyone! Hope things start rolling for those who are having some difficulties.
