56% right now, but hits 96% at night. Not much rain clouds - plants outside are doing great!

Pouring here, but indoors under the lights with fans blowing and air conditioning on, what's happening outside doesn't matter too much! I can finally grow the funky indicas I enjoy.

The Ice Cream tap root is looking better in the lighter, fluffier seed starting mix. She's still putting her root out and it's slower than the Jet-47s, but she's alive and hopefully will make it! I think the three seed packs move slower than the 5 and 10 packs, so this one may have been in the fridge for a few years before I got it.

lol, I don't normally eat cereal actually. As for bowls of bud...one or two. I'm down to my last two, and I'm about to smoke one. My plans for smoking the male aren't happening since it was in a Ziplock and smells moldy. I didn't have a brown paper bag handy. Ah well, several weeks off won't hurt too much, and will make the harvest that much sweeter! :thank you:

Day 32 for my female; around 9.5" tall (I packed more soil around the base twice, and the stem is nice and thick at 3/16" - 1/4"). Putting out bud sites everywhere.

Two seedlings. The one on the top was planted in good seed starting mix and is only four days old. None of the other Jets had first leaves this big. I'll never use the heavy potting soil again, as it seems to really be hurting my plants' growth rate.

At the bottom you can see the little stem that was born without leaves. I think the fungus gnats may have gotten to the leaves since it was so low to the soil. Both of these seedlings have leaf damage (from fungus gnats I believe). Once they're above soil level, they appear to be immune to attack (scary to think what the gnats may be doing to the roots). The stem is already ten days old. I'm still waiting to see if it speeds up. It's working on its third leaf set.

This seedling is growing slowly but surely. Twenty days old today, but the male (RIP) and female were much further ahead at the same age.

Hey DP! Which one, the last one? Its first leaves are a bit pale and burned from feeding early on, but the ones above it are nice and green.

Ah ok, it's very green. :) I'll take another shot without the LEDs when I can. The female was getting hit with CFLs and 630/660nm red LEDs.

As of last night, I appear to be completely out of smoke. The bag I was smoking out of (my pure Indian sativa) has 16 healthy seeds in it. I might as well start a few more seeds while the lights are on 20/4 since I'm using the big light.

The Ice Cream seed wasn't making any progress, so I attempted to squeeze open the shell and split the taproot. Ah well. Sowed another one to replace it. Hopefully this one does better! Even if I only get 1/3 from the pack, I'll be happy as it's supposed to be an excellent strain.

The Ice Cream looked like a milkshake after I was done. Skunky aroma from the seed; fusarium may have gotten to it. I promise not to touch this seed for five days. I'm going to let it do its thing, and just mist once a day.

Got my coco block (DENSE!), large perlite, fish/crab/other fertilizer and EMs. The rice husk sprung a leak on the way, but only a handful spilled out. Good stuff! The fabric pots should arrive today. I haven't decided whether to use the potting mix sold by the company that sells the seed starting mix I'm having success with or pick up some good German potting mix. I'll probably go with the more expensive potting mix sold in smaller bags, since the seed starting mix has blown me away with how light and airy it is. I should have known better than to risk an Ice Cream in the crapola I was using before. Then again, 4/5 Jet-47s managed to germ in it.

Hopefully I can still find a nice mom (MILF?) with the other two seeds!

Indoor growing takes a lot more patience than guerilla growing. I think only seeing my plants twice a week at most was a good thing. I can't stop playing with them!

Beats playing with yourself, they like a tickle.

Not when my playing with them hurts them! At least I'm not watering them this week. They really need a good drying out so those bastard gnats end up unable to procreate!

Smartpots came in...love them! Can't wait to put them to use. I may just leave the peat out entirely and go with straight coco and perlite.

Hey, since you're in TH, you may want to try adding some coconut water to your water for your girls. I've heard good things about it on the organics threads.

Well, the slow growth is definitely because of the potting soil I was using. It holds a tremendous amount of water. While good for houseplants where you basically want to set and forget, it's not ideal for fast growing cannabis where yield and rapid vegetative growth are vital. The seedling I started in the seed starting mix (#5) is huge and much further along than the other four. I won't use the heavy potting soil again, but I may blend what I do have on hand and in the other pots with my new amendments at 20-30%. Ah well, you live and learn!

Sowed Jet-47 #6 into seed starting mix with a little of the large perlite I just got in. This is definitely the largest perlite I've ever seen at around 7mm a piece! This one will go in a Smartpot with better, lightweight potting soil, coco and large perlite (and no clay pebbles or fungus gnatty heavy soil).

Just pried off a little off the coco brick to test, and put it in a gallon Ziplock with a little water. It expanded right away and fluffed up beautifully. I bet #6 will take off like a rocket (jet?) in the new medium.

My female's pot finally dried out enough for a watering. I only gave her 250ml of the solution I made up for her. Quite a bit dripped through into the tray, so I'm letting her bottom feed. Today's feed was:

EMs, kelp, high P bat guano, azomite, leonardite, ebony leaf ash and BTI. I also added a tiny bit of coconut water to the saucer.

I noticed a few lighter spots on her bottom leaves. I'm not sure if it's a deficiency or from the LED, so I moved the 24W LED bulb up high. It is now shining down on all four plants and is well out of burn range.

I was gonna suggest you blend the soils, but youre on it.

I think that's a good call, moving the light up. They could stand to stretch out a bit more. The write up I saw for Jet said they max out at about 2 feet tall.

Next pics should show us some nice little nuglets.
