What does NERL mean with BHO?

A few local dispensaries starting carrying new BHOs that have the word NERL at the end of what strain it is... for example Cherry Pie NERL. They are also charging $120 a gram for any of the BHOs labelled as NERL, which is $50 more than an equivalent amount of Pure Gold oil.

Anyone have any idea what the hell this NERL crap is, or what could possibly make it even worth 120 a gram WTF?

Sounds like. . . . . . . . you gotta get up pretty NERLY in the morning to fool me. . . .
Orrrr, A fool and his. . . . . errrr. . . . wait..
Fool me once? Shame on you? . . . . . . Ummmmmm..

Edit: Even at a rough calculation (With an ABSURD material cost) production would never exceed thirty dollars a gram. . .
EVEN WHEN MADE FROM THE MOST PRIME SOLID NUG!!! Damn con (we)men. . .

Average price here in NV for delivery is roughly 50-60 a gram for shatter, 60-70 per gram of wax and Pure Gold oil, 25-40 for a gram of full melt, pressed kif, and RSO. To throw out 120 for a gram of NERL is a skyrocket jump from the 70 per g price.

To go off what SpaceshipNelson said, your calculations are pretty spot on. At 4800 for a lb and if you only got to yield 10% from the blow, you would still end up with 44-45g that still comes up to $100 a gram which could then justify the $120 ticket, BUT who in the freakin world other than East Coast US people pay more than 3k for a lb, and then to top it off, what kind of newb are you at blowing, that you cant yield better than 10% off nug?

I average 12% off shake, 15-16% (18% was my highest yield so far) off some decent sugar trim, and I have yet to try my hand at solid nug, but I imagine the yield would come in somewhere between 20-25% after purge and winterization (every run I make I edit my average, so every % I put up about the yield is accurate except for decimals, to my current percentages for yield) also my numbers are taken when the oil is finished.

I agree with the concept of supply and demand, but they seem to be preying heavily on people's ignorance. We'll see how their longevity lasts in our sector.

My calcs were relatively loose/high;
$2000 lb of OutDoor (approx 25%-40% over spot)
20% return (from flowers) after winter

2000/454g= $4.41g @20% = 90.8g a lb == material cost(excluding production) @ $22.03 a gram. . . . . . . I mean there's just NO way to bolster this ridiculous-ness any more than it already is. . . .

(the most fucked up thing, is that some people, would buy something JUST because it cost more!)

lol, even in cali shatter bros sells some of their crap for 100$ a gram.. can't really blame them for trying to capitalize if people are willing (read:stupid) enough to pay that much. i think even 75$ a gram is pretty ridiculous. but you do gotta figure the trouble of producing that much and the risks associated; thus, I can see 60-70ish for TOP SHELF nug-ran oil. but 100+ is just asinine imo.

not so sure that it's so ridiculous. if you think about indoor bud being used, then consider the 20% return from a decent bho strain, then you lose up to 25 or 30% winterizing, so in the end he would end up getting about 1.6g from 10g of primo bud. but at this point he has worked on it for hours and hours and waited days. so when looked at like that the numbers are no longer so shocking. specially when you realize how you have to vac purge small batches to really make shatter and each batch takes lots of time. so how much per hour is he allowed to earn for making shatter?
