As u can see these plants are not growing at the same pace, not sure about that but the leaves on some of them are curling up and have been for several weeks, but only certain leaves of certain ones. And the little leaves on the bottom are spotty and unhealthy looking. I took pictures not sure how good they aare. plants were started from seed april 10th. Blue mystic white wwidow not sure what the other two strains were but it doesnt matter really because they're all mixed up now anyways. 1000w hps 50 gal rez ebb n flo on timer 3 times per day for thirty min. One large wall mounted ocelating fan however u spell that. Im def new to this and any help would be sincerely appreciated

What are your temps? Looks like heat stress. What nutes you running? At what ec or ppm? How far away is the 1000w from the plants?

As for those lower tiny leaves just cut that crap off. Doing lower stem removal early on is crucial to a nice harvest. Just the spindly thin stuff so your plant doest focus on these areas but the happy healthy stuff that gets lots of light.

All strains grow at different paces. Are you in flowering yet? Once you induce flowering the plants enter a stretching phase regardless of strain for 3-5 weeks depending on how long they go. Some plants like sour and og and chem related stuff usually stretch like crazy. 3x the height in the first three weeks. Then theres stuff that doesnt stretch much at all and everything in between. So when you play with different strains thats when things are unpredictable and your canopy can get screwey.

Thermometer in room is usually between 75 and eighty so its probably a little warmer under the light but i do have a fan blowing cooler air directly on them. I cant tell any temp difference with my hands tho. The plants are about 2 ft from light except the tall one is about 18 nches from the light but not directly under the bulb. Still in veg but i was thinking of flipping in one week. I am using technaflora plant products. A kit that says recipe for success. Currently using recommended quantities of bc boost, bc grow, thrive alive b1 red, magicali and sugar daddy. Dont know what ppm or ec is. But i tr8mmed the crap leaves off like u said. What is the ideal temp i should shoot for ? And ssincethe canopy is going to be weird should i install another light, i have a 600w hps not in use? Or will that one light support these 12-14 plants flipping in one week? Average height is one foot and the one tall one is about 2 ft. Ty very much for y9ur help

Druring veg they like it warm. Id shoot for 82. Are you following a feed chart? They usually run a little hot. Are you using ro water? Knowing the amount of food you are giving and the ph they are being delivered is ESSENTIAL. Get a good ph pen that does ec. At this stage they can run well at 1.0 ec. 1.0-1.3. Dont try to use too many supplements either, often times less is more with this. Ideal ph in veg js 5.8. As you flower you slowly increase it each week to 6.2 at the highest point. If youre using ro i suggest adding calmag from botanicare at 5ml per gallon. I also HIGHLY recommend using silica at all times. Pro tekt is cheap and really good quality. It will help prevent issues across the board. Also 1000w lamp might be a little much for veg. Id run that 600 over them instead until you flip. Then id add the 1k when you flower. Also a metal halide bulb is better suited for veg but if all you have is an hps i know that story been there before.

And the 1000w will be perfect for that plant count also. I use thrive alive but im not familiar with their other stuff. During veg if you can just run a base with some added cal mag silica and a root stimulant your plants will love you. Keep the ph at 5.8, when you mix your nutes add the silica first.

Alright i will have to get that pen tomorrow. Got a preferred model? Figure i will overnight one via amazon. The kit i have, as far as nutes go, requires alot of things and they are expensive. the manufacturer recommends i dump it all once every week or ten days. But i did some research and found some people rarely change unless it gets contaminated. I am going to try your advice next grow about the veg stage nutes. I am using ro water what nutes do you recommend for flowering?

I reccomend house and garden aqua flakes 5-8ml anywhere veg through flower with cal mag and ro water, silica a few more boosters youre golden

I have seen Curl upward from the edges like for three reasons...

1. Mg lockout due to high ph. Common with smaller plants as you get ph dialed in at the start of a grow....If its Mg deficiancy (see infirmary pictures) then make sure your ph is around 6.5 to help prevent Mg lockout...once lockout is cleared you can go down to 5.8 ph as Crooked8 suggests...if Mg deficiency you will get dead spots on those leaves next...clear the lockout and the plants will recover....with hydro ph is KEY...ec and ppm are important...but without ph right non of that matters...in this case I think you have ph to low and are getting Mg lockout....This may be obvious but be sure to ph after adding nutes...ph drops a lot after adding nutes and requires a lot of ph up...I was medicated last year and forgot to ph my res and had a similar sight the next day...had to flush...set me back a week.

2. Low Relative Humidity. Not likely as you are in Hydro....Some call it heat stress but it's really a combination of heat and RH (more specifically high VPD) that gets you this type of curl even at relatively low temps..I wont go into VPD but its a fancy way of saying the air is to dry for a given temperature. If your RH is under 30% (happened to me at 15% humidity in AZ) add moisture to the air...folliate or add a DIY humidifier with a small bucket and wash cloth in front of the fan...if your environment already has a high RH which most hydro setups do... it's probably Mg deficiency.

3. Bugs...I won't go here because it seems like the entire plant is affected.

Got a hanna ph pen today with ec. Ph was at 6.5, suprised me because I've been going off the liquid drop stuff and i thought it was a hair shy of 6.0. The hps light has been throwin me, the shades of green and yellow, because i checked under sunlight after adjusting and seems to be in sync with pen. Humidity is generally around 50 percent. My pen had 2 readings, 1250 ppm and a 1700 with like an upside down h sign. Its reaally late and im not sure if im making any sense right now but do i need to flush and or adjust ph back to 6.5? Thank you guys very much and that plant is not getting better. Will posr new pick in about 8 hhous from now. Thanks again

If it is Mg deficiency/lockout it won't go away on those leaves...they will get dead spots and stop curling after the lockout clears....the new growth just doesn't have it.

I would stop feeding for a week and just offer PH'ed water for this amount of time. This will help swing them back to stablizing growth. Then split the amount of NUTT's you have been offering. Just my opinion. I run hydro hand feed and that is what I have done in the past with great results. Good luck !

Last ph adjust was about 24 hours ago. I just checked it again and it went from 5.8 to 6.5 overnight. what about the ec readings. Leave ph or adjust back down? Two readings are now 940 and 1340 on my pen

Keep ph at 5.8. 6.5 is too basic for proper uptake of nutrients. The ec readouts which one came first? Was the first readout a freshly mixed res and then you ran the pumps, checked it again afterward and it was that much higher? The other way around? This matters...

Also kooldave no disrespect but only feeding half strength nutes would make more sense, a week of no nutes might be detramental to them if theyre already stressed. Plants that small will go nitrogen deficient very quickly.
