Beds are coming into their final week of feed before the 10-14 day flush. I'm proud of it, even though I broke tons of tops off and didn't have a clue as far as the training was concerned.next run will be better.

ppk pics anyone?... here is my deep strawberry diesel ppk grow@ 33 or so days. I haven't rigged the float valve to connect the control res to the bulk res yet so I'm still adding solution pretty much daily. It is climbing to 2 ec and I have been putting in 1.2 solution and even straight water from my dehuey when the ec gets really high. I bought a bunch of parts to try to rig something that will reduce from the 1 inch bulkhead to the 1/4"drip line that feeds the floatvalve. I've got some minor tip burn and clawing on a couple plants due to the elevated ec. Good news is that my Ph pen being a more than a point off doesn't look like it affected the ppk plants; no noticeable deficiencies :woohoo:
On with the show:

I'm wondering if hooking up the float valve and bulk res would help keep the control res in line with the more steady input of fresh solution. I didn't have the problem with rising ec on my least ppk grow.
Another question: how do I apply neem? There were no directions on the bottle

lookin good! these are all in coco? they do look a little overfed and wet in the feet but not bad at all nice looking plants!

that stupid little box with a float valve in it and a 3/64" hole is a nutrient and ph controller. it works!

i think of feeding these things in terms of steering the solution up and down as needed by using slightly different input strengths.

typically without co2 i used 600 ppm, 750 ppm, and 900 ppm.

with jacks:

600 ppm is 360/240, 750 ppm is 450/300, and 900 ppm is 540/360.

i use the green light brand neem oil from lowes which has the spreader mixed in it already and just needs to be mixed with water at 1-2 tablespoons per gallon. if your brand does not have the spreader in it you should use a few drops of dish detergent per gal. 2-3 drops

i apply it with a 1 gal garden sprayer. turn those lights off and plastic bag them first or you will be hand cleaning neem off of them with windex.

i only use the neem on mites. i pick the visibly affected leaves off, one heavy neem spray and a pyrethrum bomb to start with followed by a bomb every four days for 6 consecutive periods.

the neem makes them travel around and not attack new surfaces and the bombs kill their little asses by interrupting the life cycle.

good job!

I just finished putting the last few plants in jars. Final weight:1304.2g. That is about 46.5oz. Not bad. I put some scotts og in the donut stacks last night, I hope I get a nice pheno. I put a couple headbands in least week. I have three white fires that will go in soon and eight og13s that well go in after they get a bit bigger. I've done one other grow from seed, my deep strawberry diesel that is in flower now. all of the scotts and and wifi stretched very tall without branching out. Hopefully I will be able to get the clones to bush out more. I have high hopes for both of these, I really want them to work. If they for some reason don't, I have a bunch of seeds that I will be going through this year. I have some sour bubble in cups right now and one sour boggle, the only one that popped out of ten and it stalled for literally 4 or 5 Weeks staying one inch tall with its first leaf set before finally taking off. Its now growing great. I probably should have culled it, but being the only one that popped, I couldn't let it go. Hopefully something good will come of it.
So, .8 gpw~ this has been where I have been hovering yield wise for the last year. I'm thinking of going sealed with co2 in hopes of increasing yields. there is a water chilled gas generator I've been eyeing at the local shop that someone is reselling for cheap. I have basement room at my rental property that my 4x8 bed is in that hasn't got above 80 even on the hottest days of summer. If I put it in that room maybe I wouldn't have to by an AC. To do it in the basement here, I would have to buy a split. I'd like to know it would be worth it before dropping that kind of money.

The bed are close to being finished. They are at 9 Weeks and could be taken, but my plan was to harvest@10 Weeks. I have already taken next Friday and the following Monday off to trim, but my bonsai heroes arrived this week, so maybe I will just trim after work this week and actually have a free weekend.

Thanks guys, I was kind of intimidated by the flat canopy at first having only grown vert, but apparently you just throw 50 clones in a bed, watch it grow for 60 or 70 days then collect your paycheck.
My wife probably expended more energy shopping on the internet than I did on this grow.

My wife wants me to quit my job and grow full time so I can be home more often. I'd really love to grow foul time, put all my energy and time into my projects. Maybe shit would get finished in a reasonable time frame and I'm sure it'd get better at it. I think that I may be reaching a point where my growing income is more than my legit income. It almost makes sense to go full tilt, but I don't live in one those states where its ok to do it......

Here is a pic of my clusterfuck of a ppk build I have at the rental (now it hasn't been rented in.a year)

There's plenty of room, it stays cool, the electricity is new with plenty of room in the panel to add way more lights than I will ever need, but this side of the basement leeks so bad I will never really be able to tell if its the ppks or not. With a couple dehueys it can be kept dry. fixing the problem will be one more thing it will take me forever to get to. I really wanted to do a whole thread for the new ppk, but I will probably just put what I can in this one. I really admire those who can keep these threads o interesting and updated. it really is allot of work just to keep one of these going .
