The Golden Goat Show

Yeah zombie, I've noticed that strains that carry the lemon zest type terpene profile really hold it through the cure. I've busted out a year and a half old piece of lemon freeze before and still had the lemon scent.

Limonene is the name of the essential oil that's in any strains that smell lemon'y. I bet it's got longer dissipation/evaporation and isn't as soluble with gases in our air. Like the interesting combo of terps making up OG's... shit goes rank if exposed to air constantly for a month. I found that freezing herb shortly after curing keeps the terpines steady for months on end. I always have small head stash jars I refill from the freezer jars, working quickly, making sure the mother lode supply stays frozen. In 20 minutes, the head stash nug is thawed and as moist as it was and as fragrant as it was before freeze. But yea, Tickle, I don't need to freeze Limonene-heavy strains cause they're smoked and gone by the time they start to "mature" in the jar.

I have recently been selecting a lot of what I grow by shelf life. I find the same thing. Ghost OG and crosses of it have to be frozen at the perfect state to stay there. Sfv that has that D-limonene in there holds its bouquet a lot longer just jarred up normally. The limonene definitely has some sort of preservative properties to the terpene profile.

I ran the goat for a while, nothing special for me.I gave it up because I had ISS as well and the ISS blew it away.

I have pulled her ay 75 and still really good. But she will keep growing and growing. Its a great smoke also. All my older patients prefer that goat smell over some Ogs. But that 85 days is a killer to wait expecially if you have 60 day strains in the room. Another month seems like forever. Luckily its a very hardy plant and ive never really had alot of problems. Seems like maybe a little nute burn but i dont run long flowering strains that often.

I've waited until day 115 before on a Neville's Haze before, but I don't want to do that again anytime soon. Another 30 days or so before day75 still and these Goat colas are huge and pistils have just started to turn orange. Everything is COATED in trichs and smelling nice and Goat'y. This Nectar for the gods gives me an increase in leaf-to-calyx ratio, but aroma and taste are second to none with these nutes!

Well it def stood the test of time, in a plastic container in my golf bag for a year, still keeping a little smell.

I'm a sucker for a good limonene strain, and Golden Goat is just that. Not to mention it grows huge rocks for buds. Thats just a bonus.

Seriously nice work man, shes looking amazing. Keep the updated comin.

Here's back when I ran a regular scrog instead of vert. Little blurry but a whooole lotta goat heads.

Wow, ZL! That's quite a sight, knowing these goats now. Next time ya grow goat like that, lemme know in advance and I'll invest in jar company stocks.

Plumping up very nicely. Just as you can't get great stuff from poor genetics, you can't get great buds from poor technique, either, so kudos are in order. Well done!

Looking good! I took my latest goats down at 75. They came out nice, But could of been better. I was growing like seven strains and some didn't like the nute recipe as much as others. Still looking for a cut of Jack. Would like to do a mix grow of jack and goat. Your buds look identical to the goats i pulled last month. I think cutting a little earlier then 70-75 will have better taste. Go longer and you get fuller buds and stronger high. Its kinda like my og that has a better taste if cut between 58-60. Or let it go to 65-70 and you get little bit bigger buds and more sedative high.

Yep jib, I hear that. Been flushing these girls a few days now with Nectar's steamed bonemeal and Nectar's Carbon, per their recommendation, so they still fatten up with a neutral feeding of P and organic chelated sugars. It's the first time I'm flushing with anything but ph'd 4 day old water.
