Fan Controller w/ more than one inline fan

Basically want to know if this is possible.

The long of it is I am trying to relieve pressure in my A/C vent box setup by connecting an additional inline fan to the primary side of the ventilation system, therefore relieving the pressure. I plan to do so by connecting the additional fan to the same controller the secondary side of the ventilation system is connected to which only has one outlet. I would therefore connect a splitter and attach both fans, thus hopefully relieving my pressure.

Again, im stoned as shit and I hope this made sense. And as always thanks for everyone's time.:thank you:

Don't understand what you're using it for but the controller is probably rated for 15 amps and a fan draws 2. I'd give it a shot, what's at risk? A fifteen dollar controller.

First of all don't do this kind of thing when you're stoned.

I just bought a new Duo/Stat controller and it cost over $80 delivered.

It's rated at 15 amps so... it "might" handle the load... But I doubt it...

My 4" inline fan pulls 2amps start and .98 running, but my AC pulls 12amps start... Combined that's 14 amps on startup. That's just too close to the threshold for me. That's how fires start, and that's part of the risk.

You would be far better off increasing the diameter of ducting, it will quiet down more anyway.

So I'll assume you have 120vac and want to use this:

You might mention the controller and fans you are planning to use.

I have a farm rated controller (Phason) and I'd really like to hear from someone that has a pair of dissimilar fans hooked to the same controller. I plan a S&P TD200x intake with a S&P 8" PV for exhaust.

scrapped the whole idea and simply added another 6" inlet. I still think attaching more than 1 fan to a surge or a splitter would be ok. I believe the voltage is the factor that is changed when using a controller.
