reverse hermie- unidentifiable pre flowers? Opinion

Howdy Howdy lol
I thought i'd share this, see if anyone has experienced the same. I've heard of female hermie to male, and read about the reverse, showing male and having female parts-

I just threw my current grow into 12/12 lighting about a week ago, they were showing pre flowers on some- and 2 for sure were male if trying to ID by pre flower. Seeing crab claws and what appears to be the ball, definitely not the pointed topped tear shaped female part. Well.. a few days into 12/12 one of the plants showed female parts at the top! I was so confused and shocked, I pretty much posted something on a forum discussing not throwing out males just based on preflower- because obviously they aren't 100% ID based on preflower alone (I've photos if needed)

Well yesterday, I was outside (i'd moved the males outside to let them further develop to take photo's of the balls) and at the top of another "male" plant.. theres pistils... The lower preflowers all have the crab claw.. anyone else experienced this conundrum- I'm pretty good and IDing females, these were males lol- ..and now female!

I can post pics if interested. Thanks again!:thank you:

Heres the photos i just snapped:)

OK! so here are some photos... I took pictures starting from the base 4th branch which first showed preflower- and then snapped pics of the "balls and crab claws" up to the top- which at the very top are a few fem preflowers.. and upon closer photo observation.. it looks like the pistillate actually has 3 hairs. whatcha think?

This is the second plant of mine that did this in this grow lol!

weird ball with pistil

weird ball with pistil

hey there here are some updates to these plants that are in question, I've actually noticed some of the branches stretches upwards on a plant have single balls too but whole plant is covered in pistils-
But these are weird- off of a male preflower sexed plant. which showed pistils at top, and now this-

id love to say so, I think i'm seeing it in a few plants that I am growing- first was isolated to two indica's I was growing, and now i'm seeing it on.. or think i'm seeing it in a few others. I'm wondering if its related to auto flower or fem seeds, these were all bag seed from 1 club, same grower, various buds. maybe my 8000 foot elevation?

either way, from what I'm seeing the balls that I kept an eye out on had pistils, and then it looks like an explosion of pistils from the ball site.. but I haven't wanted to let the balls develop in case one didn't give me a pistil... they are few and far between, it looks like they grow on the first lower nodes, and then rest of plant all female- 2 weeks into flower and I've got hairs everywhere... I can post pics of the whole plant

ive just searched high and low for anything with the description with whats goin on with me.. most I can turn up is the reverse herm, which is little about that... I wonder if these balls have both pistil and bananas.. like a genetic herm you suggested, but im just seeing it among a few of these plants.

Ride them out. Time will be your verdict. Id toss everything causing you these problems. I'd also invest in solid Genetics that are known - and trusted - Sayyyy Rare Dankness or Connoisseur Genetics.

If you really love those plants and the phenos are awesome and they are just what you need. Maybe Dutch Master Reverse can help you make those plants purely female.

My 2 cents is chuck the plants giving you these head aches because if they do shoot off some balls and they burst with pollen - you sir are in for some seeded buds.

Probably the reason you got the seeds in the bag from the club.

I'm kinda growing like you right now in the sense of having a strain or two that are unstable - sexy wise.

Good luck - show us more pictures of the development - whole plant pics would be cool but littel to benefit from - unless some real expert can understand the situation better.

Got to agree with LyryC cull them,And he totally right saying that how you got the seeds to begin with, hermie prone genetics .As a community we need to make sure these kind of bad gene's are not passed along! Not calling the strains bad just the hermie carrying part.Another reason to use regular non-fem seeds lot less chance of this.

Did you end up seeing these plants through to the end? The plants with the "single ball (not clusters) that threw out pistils"?

Thanks.
