Coco is running off at about 1118 PPM after putting in only RO water

I was an idiot. Went ahead and bought Nutrilife coco when the guy at the store said it was the same as Canna.

After germinating three seeds, planted them all in coco solo ups with like 15/20 percent Perlite mix.

Two of the three plants seem to be doing fine. They have one pair of true leaves, and seem to be beginning to grow another set after 7 days. However, the third solo cup the seedling pretty much went nowhere. It only had it's baby leaves, and had not even started to grow true leaves after a week above ground. So I pitched it.

When I was doing that, I decided to check the runoff. It read at 1118 PPM. I decided to see how much water it would take to bring it down. After pouring 1 entire gallon of RO water into this little solo cup the PPM's went to about 200. At a half gallon it was at about 700 still.

So here is my question. It's my first grow, and I am nervous all the plants will fail. One has already. The other two look good, but I have no idea if this crazy coco will affect them.

Does PPM run off of coco matter? Some say yes, some say no, I can't really find an answer.

I have invested a good amount of money into growing my own medicine, and spent months reading. Yet I can't find a concise answer on what to do.

You will be fine. Hell with the run off. Plants grow better in coco dtw if a build up is allowed to occur. I feed at .9-1.2 ec and see high offs no problem. By harvest it will be running off 50ppm or less and the coco with stabilze itself once its charged then excess nutes will fall out with each feed long as you give them slight run off you will be fine. I've never rinsed a bag of coco in my life and I go thru a good 70 bags a month. Bricks is another story...

I very much use runoff ppm as an indicator for plant problems in coco.

Using say a 500ppm solution at feeding at 5.8 ph, I will get the exact same figures out of the bottom of the pot if it has a decent root system and getting watered daily.

I say grab a fresh cup of the same coco if you have any to spare and testing the runoff, I would be very worried if I had that sort of runoff even in mid flower lol....

This has been covered many times never flush coco with straight ro until final flush ... Always add a low dose of cal mag and base until you get your ec to where you want it..

They are in solo cups right now. I will be moving them to 3 gallon pots in a couple weeks to finish the last 2-3 weeks of veg.

How would I go about flushing them?

Should I make up a huge batch of Nutrient solution, and flush it through the coco until the runoff out the bottom is the same as whats going in?

Or should I just use RO water and Cal-mag to flush it until the runoff is the same as whats going in?

After the flush, should I let it dry out a couple days. Or should I flush the coco in the 3 gallon pots, RIGHT before I transplant.

The other two plants are doing fine you say?
Have you checked the runoff from those two?
Are you feeding them or just been giving them straight RO since day one?

I gave them "RO water" that had 160 PPM since day one. However recently found a better source of RO water that has 0.04 PPM. So my last feeding was with that.

I tested the run off in the plant that simply would not sprout any true leaves after a week. So I yanked it and tested run off. It was huge.

The other seem alright for now...
