400w tent grow hand water coco

Hey man, I completely agree with you about the advantages of this wattage. In a tent your size it's ideal. I'm about to run a 400w (sunpulse range and digi ballast) tent grow myself. I like it you've been thoughtful about that because a lot of people would have thrown a 600w in there and be struggling with temps and bleaching etc now - although it looks like you have good height in your space there. Have you used shooting powder before? Buckle up. Along with roots excel I reckon it's one of the best additives from H&G.

Nice man! I will be sure to check it out, the 400w is perfect for the space I agree. Running a 600 I agree is not worth it, especially electricity wise seeing how I would also need to run an air cooled hood.

My temps are absolutely wonderful, I now grow in a basement and temps stay in the mid 60's, I love it!! However for fermenting my beer I wish it were warmer, need to invest in a space heater for that purpose! I usually brew below the air vent so it gets some heat.

I have grown with shooting powder and roots excel I agree it is the cream of the crop for H&G, I also like Bud XL. Thanks for stopping by Mantra!

That's an excellent suggestion Swan I will definitely try it out! Thanks for dropping by man

How much water are you using per plant per feeding?

Each plant I feed to their demand pretty much, I will water til they drain about 5-10%. Usually I end up using a gallon -give or take a bit- a day. Then about once a week I'll give them a bit more of a flush to about 15-20% to rid excess salt build up. Excellent question, thanks for comin by buddy.

Looking good indie i am on my first 400w grow looks like we have a similar space. i am using canna terra and nutes but want to use coco, have heard good things. couple quick questions, what size pots are you using ans how important is it that water does not sit in the tray? i have left some there in preious watering - not too much, but is this bad?
i hope mine look half as good as yours when they are flowering:good:

Hey, stopping in to say your colas are looking nice. I'm running a similar grow, except my ladies are waaay smaller, and also my 400w is a security light from RAB >.< Just flipped them into 12/12 six days ago, hopefully my flowers start looking as fat as yours.

Thanks for dropping by Finn! Glad to hear you are trying a similar grow, and I am glad to offer my insight. First, I use 2 gallon pots and usually 3-4 plants. I find that if I use anything larger then my plants get too big for my tent. If you were to grow a smaller number of plants (1 or 2) then you could definitely use larger pots, I have had some success with single plant crops in 5 gallon buckets. Second, it depends how much water is sitting in your tray to gauge the effect it will have on your plant. A small amount of water -not enough to seep through the bottoms of your plant- should be fine if left for a day or so. Usually in my experience it will evaporate. However, we may live in different climates. I think if you live in a warmer climate, it may lead to pests infiltrating your tent like fruit flies. Of course, if your plant is sitting in too much water, you will end up with root rot and various other things that could potentially harm your plant. Thanks again for the questions, and best of luck to you on your grow!

Hey mordecai, thanks for stopping in! Thank you for the feedback, I bet your plants will look much better further down the road! I am curious to see how that security light pans out, good luck!

Cheers Indie thanks for the response, your girls are looking mighty fine, WOW i hope i can emulate such success with my tent i think might use your elevated pot tray and cup technique as i have plenty of head room in my cab i have been quite heavily lsting my girls and they are 6-7" at day 33 from seed i have got 18L airpots (4.5 gal i think) so they will be plenty big enough. Thanks again Indie would give your props but don't know how. + PROPS

At first i was like "no way they are that far along on week 7" but my dumbass was thinking of a work week (5 days) ...so 35 days i was like HOLY SHIT, then i smacked myself and realized that means day 49!! lol

Steller looking shit, I got me some Prophet and Roadkill skunk going under (2) 400's! using blumats and house and garden coco. It's cool to compare them to yours, I hope mine are that big at day 49, but huge possibility they my be even farther along.

Cheers, OPT
