^Pesticide resistant mites and brown aphids are rife here in CO, once the grow scene opens up it's only going to get worse.

^Pesticide resistant mites

Ya know... that's what everyone around here told me about mites. Even got some of these 'resistant' mites and, well, they all died in my veg room. *shrug*

Temps under 83F or you'll never stop them because they breed to fast at higher temps.

Azamax/Azatrol/Aza-sol for vegging mums, root drench at 5ml/gallon... every other month. (Never on/in clones anymore. *shudder* nasty stuff)

THOROUGH drenching of clones with Safer's 3-in-1, every 2-3 days for 2 weeks. (Only if infested or suspected of being infested) Stuff sucks as it leaves a residue, but it actually works if you apply it correctly and at the lower room temps.

CLEAN flower room. That's filtered intakes and as little in-out of there as possible until flowering is finished. In-flower issues are taken care of with a 10% isopropyl and water solution. No chems ever.

This definitely works for the "Resistant" mites I ran across around the 285 & 9 area. Not sure if they were broad or russet though. *shrug*

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I've "Seen" russet mites on plants that a warehouse grower pitched in the dumpster,......

Took a shower and changed clothes before I went anywhere near my room. Neem has kept my grow mite free for several years now, even when I've brought known infested clones home.

There is no such thing as a mite (russet, spider, or what have you) that's resistant to a drenching in forbid-4f, then a drenching in avid a week later. Then another of forbid-4f a week after that. Done. But only in veg, never in flower.

Wanted to share my little project.

These are my test Hong Kong x Agent Orange x Sonic Fly plants that I made last summer. I have these with a friend to test and see, running next to the original HK mom. These babies were started in coco and being feed canna A+B.

Smell tests after rubbing the stems of these plants all have that citrus pineapple scent. The mom is the exact opposite flavor so it's cool to tell the difference.

So far there are two females, one male and one still undetermined.

Azamax, Azatrol, Aza-sol...
When I referred to "pesticide resistant" I meant harsh stuff like Avid, Tetrasyn, Floramite, etc, which are what big money churning establishments use (usually improperly resulting in the resistance).

Azamax is great because it's not possible for most pests to develop immunity to it, I like to use it consistently throughout veg and early flower not only to keep the pest population down but because raw / refined neem like Aza, Einstein, etc are thought by myself and many to be a general health tonic for plants, end of flower I still hit things with Mighty Wash and / or Green Cure depending on severity of infection.

I spray the same way, but less often, at home, but my home grow consistently has fewer incidences of pests and mold than my workplace (almost none in fact) leading me to believe that the large number of neighboring grows are contributing to my pest issues, unfortunately making things air tight is still a while off, this space requires a full redesign due to the ineptitude of the grower who originally put it together.

Here are a few shots I got to take tonight.

White Widow :

And I have a few phenos of some seeds that were gifted to me from a friend that I for some reason can not contact anymore. I was told it was death valley kush, and out of 3 beans I sprouted I got three females! not too shabby

Well that is it for now, all these ladies will be done in about a month, I have a lot of trimming and hash making to do in my future. This will be my last run in COlorado, :comfort:

Off to the east coast to hopefully help some folks out there and get back to my roots.

Numbers from The Summer Home were quite happy this round, 1.75 lbs of premium medicine per 1000W light, with almost 2 lbs of beautiful hash trim, Fasilitator definitely staying on in my nutrient program. The Grand Daddy Purples we were following averaged 126g per plant for a total of 378g, the Blue Dreams averaged 140g per plant for a total of 2804g, for a grand total from 23 plants / 4 1000s of 3182g.

Also managed to find someone who processes low grade leaf into oil syringes, so the waste from these plants is finally going to go somewhere besides the dumpster :greenstars:

I only do seeds now, save the infrequent cut from a homie, but after the last three years, I know better than to bring home a tired old ho from the street.

Plus the more beans you pop, the better you get at pheno selection...Which is turning out to be a lot of fun.

And it doesn't hurt to have stuff that others don't right now, especially stuff that isn't being Beastered out of every warehouse.

No,... but I own... so cultivating isn't an issue for me.

Were I an owner of a rental property tho, I'd probably put a line in there like that. A good friend of mine rented his house to a fella,.... Dude disclosed that he was going to be doing some growing, buddy said OK,......

Renter skipped out after one cycle and left my friend holding about 10k worth of damage to the property!!! holes cut in walls for vents, wiring hacked up, the central AC had been disassembled to cool the grow rather than the house,.... yeah pretty fucked up situation.

I can see how that kind of shit makes a land lord a bit leery of a grower.

Not to mention, if there's any legal issues, the property owner stands to loose the most because of the actions of his/her tenants.

^^^^ Yeah, That!!!!

^^^^ Yeah, That!!!!

Going to be lots of that kind of shit happening and it will fall back on us all as a whole. The down side to the "recreation" part being opened up is a lot more dip shits are going to get involved and do stupid shit like that...... Not fearing any repercussions.

The Medical aspect with it still being quasi legal kept lots of the riff-raff out and people on their guard and not wanting to get attention. Not any longer in the minds of most.

Not sayin' I am against the rec.... just a foreseeable side effect.

Peace

greenmatter

it was only a matter of time

i have fixed a few houses where the folks who set up the grow either knew nothing about construction or just didn't give a fuck

maybe some renters will actually set up rooms to grow in their houses. not all the gear, but enough plugs and venting to make it work

i would hope that the nice landlord gets a paper cut or 3 when that contract gets shoved up their ass

15 rules for what? there only 10 fucking commandments
