Help! My 1000 watt ballast keeps tripping the braker

I've had my grow room set up for 4 years now with no problem, my 1000 watt ballast has a dedicated circuit, and all of a sudden it wont stay fired up. I tried turning off, and back on the braker, but when I plug in the light it wont fire up and the braker is tripped again.

What is going on! My plants under that hood look horrible, I don't know what to do mid-grow like this. HELP!

I should also say that I had an electrician put in a brand new circuit box 4 years ago and set up all the dedicated outlets for my lights.

Did you try plug same ballast into another receptical on another breaker? If it works and stays on then id replace breaker. Is it a 15 amp?

That's a good possibility, but if it just happened to be the breaker you could check fairly easily by switching it for another breaker in the box of the same amperage.

How old are your lamps?

Still tripping with a new lamp, I'd change the capacitor if you haven't yet. Should fix yer issues. :)

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:
