To much neem on clones.

They are teens.
I dunked them in neem and water, careful to keep one guy stirring and mixing.

Well I put a few outside and they died.

The rest are fine but a few have curled leafs.

I sprayed warm soapy water and today a few more look trashed.

A guy said lemon juice and warm soapy water?
Dunk them again in water?

They have that waxy polished look.

Yea bro...gotta watch that neem...NO MORE SOAP..Just spray your plants with PHd water to get the neem residue off...Keep doing it until you see progress(new growth). Hope this helps

For me it was enough 4 tbsp / gallon with 1/2 tbsp of dish washer soap. No burns, just whole dead mass of mites.

Its much better to make mixture and spray down side of clone ( upside down and spray it) dont touch roots, because mites dont go here( unless you hve gnats or other )

So im guessing keep spraying? I have an electric sprayer, hit them 6x yesterday.

This plant is the worst, most however have the new growth burnt as in the photo but most have perfect leafs.

I wonder why my "Dunk" failed so bad?

most insecticides including neem oil require that you spray them in the coldest part of the day (best time is late afternoon right before dark) or you will have problems like you seeing now. also, all that soap is just making the problem worse. i second what oliver said above, just neem and then water spray if needed the next day. those leaves will never recover no matter what or how you spray. just watch the new growth to see if its healthy or not.

Be patient, try to stress less now, because plants already suffering:). Spraying should be done at least with 3-4 days gap, because neem oil degenerates and gives time to the plant for recovering and preparing for another one.
Why i like neem because its organic, cheap, does the job but not 99%.
Some people use chemicals like pirethin smoke bombs, azamax, azazol( from the last two ones, people reported some pain caused by chemicals).
What whole thing would be clear.
NEEM DOEST NOT KILL EGGS. It stops adults.
Cycle goes, eggs sprouts. Now you go blast them(4-5days after last time). Then look for adult ones after 2days. (these maggots can hide everythere).

Anyway if you have ice cold water it would be probably best for dumping then into cold water. Mites hate humidity and cold. They cant reproduce.
Are you growing OD?

Just spray them with water for now, cold as possible, GF-Z is correct! I did this with some organic stuff and hurt them pretty bad for not enough dilution with water.....

Well its been 3 days and I abviousley wanted to "Spray" again so at least the mites DIE and I dont waist my time. Only 3 died and most are all 100% perfect but look greesey.

I bet Im pickung up Azo max today as I think its less oiley.

I also have floromite and avid but I dont use that kind of nasty shit.
I did get some for an emergency.

I got dead bug brew also! Thats organic.
Im 75% organic start to finish but use some hardners at the end.

dunking with neem then putting outside is NOT a good thing especially for young plants. how much neem did you use? neem makes the leaves look 'shiny'. glad to hear most of your clones made it.

Have been using Azatrol for years now which is neem based as a preventative. Spray, drench, soak.. Have never had that happen. Did you test pH of the solution before the dunk?

Went to the "Store" today and they said its nearly impossible to get pure neem to mix and emulsify with a dunk, impossible! Always some will float up to the top when your not stirring then the leafs will get covered and die!

He said dead bug brew will kill off any new hatched bugs.

Best I can do!

the neem i use has emulsifier in it already and mixes fully without any residue floating on the top...

neem does not get more effective if you use more of it. 4 teaspoons per gallon is plenty.

to emulsify it properly use a hand blender or a smoothie maker. it stays as an emulsification for days if you do that.

and yes best to do it at lights off or evening as with any spraying/dunking

all those 'aza/azo' pesticides ARE neem! azatrol azamax etc ~azadirachtin is the active ingredient in neem

your problem is simply coming from spraying plants in the light

do it late in the evening or just before lights out so they can hang out in the dark while the neem works

Good advice here ^^^^. Also I was wondering if the plants were hardened off before they went out into sunlight? In to out alone can torch a plant. Although the leaves in the pics look burnt from the dip. When I dip my cuts I dilute my solution by about half with ph'd water. Still does the trick and I don't get burnt. Good luck! Peace

Personally I use "Einstein Oil" Cold pressed neem,..... about half a tablespoon per 32oz sprayer of warm to hot water, then about a teaspoon of "Dr Bronners Castile soap.

I shake occasionally to keep the solution suspended while spraying, and mist from the bottom up (Spraying upwards onto the bottom of the leaves) and allowing overspray to settle on the tops of the leaves. Once I've "lightly" hit the bottoms of the leaves I'll mist from top down just to get a little drop on the tips of the leaves,...... Then again a week later on known infested plants,.... bi-weekly, or monthly on healthy plants just to cover new growth.

I've found that 1 or 2 weekly applications of Neem the way I just described gets rid of spider mites toot sweet! Then the bi-weekly keeps em from coming back!!!!

Bear in mind, every time you go outside your room your exposing your body to the little fuckers, and unless you change clothes, and shower before every time you visit your grow your probably bringing them in on your body/clothing.

As for the greasy look,.... you just drenched your plants in OIL!!! What were you expecting? Same thing for the burns and deaths,...... The oil in too high of concentrations can and will block the plants Stoma, the little pores on the bottom of the leaves that they "Breath" thru, thusly choking the plant out (death),... or maybe just a little bit of leaf that got too much oil (leaf burn)

If used correctly, this shit is magic!!!!! If not,.... well you kinda get it now right?
