CS made simple

I have made a few batches of CS and the last batch i made one of the silver wires nearly disintegrated?

The first couple of times there was almost no shrinkage except for some mild pitting, so i don't know what happened?

If I just spray one branch of a plant do you think the rest of the plant is OK to smoke? Anyone ever tried it?

It is NOT ok to smoke any part of the plant Cs has come in contact with.
I have reversed 1 single top branch and smoke the lower branches that I did not spray. It did get me high but it tasted funny and hurt my lungs if i smoked too much.
I wouldnt reccomend it but I cant say "dont do it or you will get sick/die"

What guage wire? They will deterriorate after a lot of uses..that's why i use 12g instead of the 14g everyone else reccomends.

My Glass jars or bottles sometimes go silver? Does anyone know why?

The solution still looks clear when poured out.

That is not uncommon when making Cs. It's just silver residue. Make sure you are using .999 pure silver wire and a fresh battery. A laser pointer will tell you if its working. Shine it through water before making Cs and you will barely see it. As the Cs "cooks" keep shining it through periodically. You should notice it getting thicker.

Also how long do you "cook" it for?

How long will a batch of Cs last before it no longer works and I need to make a new batch?

I have let it sit for about 6 weeks and still had good results. I wouldn't let it sit much longer.
The key is to store it in a cool dark place. Heat and light will make it go bad faster.

Thanks for the input jump! I was not sure but have been told to store it in a cool dark place. has worked for me so that's why I recommend it.

Hey Evol Seeds!

Light sensitivity of the CS is a common myth. I also spent some time under its influence, but at a more detailed study of the subject that illusion dispelled.

:)
Photosensitive silver compounds are the halides - AgBr, AgJ, AgCl.
In the process of chemical-photographic treatment, in areas exposed to light, there is a restoration of metallic silver from silver halide.

In colloidal-ionic solution we deal only with particles of silver metal, its oxide and ions.
They are not the photosensitive material.

The gray suspension is formed by particles of metallic silver and its oxide and appears regardless of lighting.

Over time, large particles settle to the bottom and the solution becomes transparent.
Precipitation process can be considerably accelerated by freezing and thawing the solution. In this case ppm is maintained.

Evaporation of the solution can enhance ppm.
CS in transparent PET bottles stored on open shelf for about two years.
On sunny days, in addition to regular daylight, they get short session of direct sunlight.
Sticker on the bottle with the recorded values ppm –
2012 05 06 - 50
2012 10 31 - 51.

Today I will add the entry –
2013 07 27 - 50. :)

I agree that the resistance of water is quite high and therefore the current will be very low, however the closer the electrodes are to each other (lower resistance) the higher the current and as the silver is dispersed into the water the resistance will also drop. Raise the voltage and the current will increase and the reaction will become more energetic.

well played. Makes perfect sense. Thank you.
