O-rings etc.

I'm trying to source parts for hydroponic build(s)

Anybody have suggestions for an online O-ring supplier? I want to have a method of easily making 2" "bulkhead" type fittings and the only thing I'm having trouble finding are quality (silicone?) orings the right size and thickness to make water tight seals on buckets etc.

Thanks guys.

I did some searching (lots really). Main problem was cross referencing sizes and "size codes" etc.. to find the right size. It sucks when you can't bring the 2" male fitting into a store to physically test the fit in person :/

They need to be rather thick.

Beat me to it.... there should be a Grainger Supply somewhere near you. You can walk in and the staff is usually VERY helpful

No grainger where I live. I'm familiar with what the stores around here don't have, generally. They don't have large o-rings, and none of the right thickness and material, not that I've found :/

even auto parts stores don't have the O rings you want? betcha they do! or they'll order in.

I built a 5 bucket UC system and had the same problem. I ended up buying sheet rubber to cut gaskets out of. Worked great.

I think what you are referring to are uniseals

At least that is what they use on the undercurrent systems.

They can be found in many sizes on websites for fishtanks. If that is what you need, and you happen to need 3" ones then shoot me a PM and I will do you a good price on ones I don't use anymore. (Mod- if this is against TOU then please delete this and let me know)
