The only thing you have to worry about is if your lights are real close to your plants then you can get some burn, but if you are running air cooled hoods you shouldn't ever. I don't get any burn at all. Now I am running a vert set up in one room, and I have to raise the bulb up to the ceiling when I spray so that the bulb won't explode. Once I am done though I lower it right back down while the plants are still wet. Some of them are only 8-10" from the bulb.

Hey Organic, to me that humidity seems high! I've read so many posts where humidity + foliar application are deemed unwise. That being said, I've never had mold or mildew either, and my relative humidity never has hit 90. So, perhaps we are needlessly cautious and misguided!

My humidity is not always that high. Today it was high to the point it was funny. I am in the woods, tons of trees, and it has been raining for sometime. Usually though it is in the 50-60% range. My rooms stay in the 45-60% range usually. One room today was at 70% when I foliar fed, and it went almost up to 80% once done. It could be higher now. Who knows. If you use compost tea weekly it will help protect you from most of the mold/ mildew issues you could have. I have not ever had one. I could at some point as I have learned that anything can happen when you are working with Mother nature.

This might be a dumb question, but does spraying your plants with some kind of ewc/compost/kelp solution leave behind any spots or residue on the leaf surface after it dries? Or do you find that this is not the case.

That is a very generalized question. It all depends on what you are feeding, if you strain it, or dilute it. That being said I don't strain, dilute, or doing anything to my teas, and I do get some spots. Nothing to worry about though. Unless you have severe OCD, and then it will be time to break out the scrub brush, and bleach.:)

I foliar feed a ton. I use absorbalight from Rock Nutrients or I use Dutchmaster Saturator and Liquid Light (Absorbalight has the wetting agent and a splash of nutrition already in it).

You HAVE to spray with the lights on...I have thrown so much crap at my plant foliar wise...it is borderline ridiculous with no burn.

My personal mix for veg...

Absorbalight
Nitrozyme at half strength
Fossil Fuel at full strength
Fasilitor from Aptus (1-2ml per liter)
Massboost from Aptus or Plant Amp and Mag amp from cutting edge.
Azamax

If I am feeling cocky...Green Fuse Grow or Bloom depending on where I am at regarding putting them into flower (4-5 days before I flip I start using GreenFuse Bloom to get everything to explode quick into flower.

I use a product called magic green from h&g as suggested by h&g up to week 7 and I have never had mold or any other issue.I use other mixes at different time's, people tell me it is a bad idea but I have done this since 1974 and I don't agree.

I put a drop of dish washing liquid per litre. I read this is a wetting agent which supposedly makes the droplets smaller or something.
It acts as a surfactant but be careful because they also have oil and grease detergents in them. Specific ones don't.

I use Dutchmaster Saturator and Liquid Light.
Reason I have seen people worry about foiler feed in flower is bud rot and PM. I always add extra fans after foiler to prevent any fungus or water sitting where the large fan leaves meet the stalk. The dish soap is a surfactant. I was reading up on surfactant and really like Dutch Masters Saturator for this purpose as it says it will carry proteins, complex carbs and amino acids to pass through directly into the plant cell beyond the outer layers. "transport large molecules through the Plasma Membrane".
Says it works great with liquid light but will work with regular teas and whatever your using. Great product.
Hope that helps.

About DROPS on the leaf -> I repeat, your spray should be a fine mist, you need to ATOMIZE the water. This is very important!

Nitrozime and BioAg Fulpower at one tsp each per quart spray bottle.of decent tap water. Add a small amount of Sticky or other yucca based wetting agent. Spary entire plant once a week in veg.
