what do you guys think?

This dope seems to be done - yet it is aproximately ten days before actual harvest day. It should be noted that I run an 13/11 hours shift in my cab due to flowering sativas. This one is hawaiian snow.

That's a sugar leaf?

I check as close to the bud (in the bud) as possible.

If that is, it's close. Personally, 10 more days sounds about right... maybe a bit longer?

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

Thats sugar leafs(plural) taken at different buds, and as close to the bud as humanely possible. phew - I thought it was done already, and was like - "fuck - I didnt have time to even start flushing yet!"

Not really super experienced at judging harvest time. Ive only had this microscope through two harvests, and before that I just took the plant down at the specified date.

Scopes are fun but don't rely solely on it to tell you when to harvest. Look at the whole plant. Is it still growing? Putting out white pistils? Still bulking up? Growing is about learning patience. No matter how smart humans think we are we still can't rush mother nature.

MJ is just another regular plant, the same as every other plant out there. Have you ever eaten a green banana or tomato compared to a fully ripe one? No comparison in flavor or aroma--ripe is so much better. I can't link it but google zeus harvesting for a nice take on the subject.

near done vs. not done

near done vs. not done

Are the calyx's swollen? I look for that before even bothering to break out the scope. hairs should be retracted and the bud should look like this:

Almost done, hairs retracted & calyx's swollen:

Still early, white hairs & tiny calyxs:

Peace

I just saw the first swollen calyx on one of the buds. The hairs are somewhere between 25 and 75% red depending on which bud you look at.

what about flushing? I hear its quite a controversial topic, but I've always done it in my grows - I do hydro by the way.

Post a pictures of the plant at different angles, close and far. This will help us with our comments. At this point it does look like you need to give more time.
