Out to the village for some rural tucker ..
some chicken ,, egg and rice ,
followed by fish soup ,
sticky rice and pork ,
the soup was nice and spicy ..
ive already sampled much of the local cuisine ,
which of course includes a variety of insects ,
heres the first ones we tried ..
some grasshopper , or cricket ..
tasty like chips ..
holy moly bro, simply stunning!!! gotta try what the locals try, but I not sure I could try the crickets, maybe if I close my eyes and hold my breath nah, looks cool brother, mmmmmmm aloha
plenty more to come my friend,
a few more surprises yet too ,,
i did eat some western foods ,
not a lot , and always with a thai dish on the side ,,
the thai food is wayy cheaper than western style,
and wayy tastier ..
last pic is the sort of food i prefer and am quite used too,
sticky rice , papaya salad , larb ,, some veges, and a few pork dishes ..
a bit of deep fried rat at the road side stall ,
nice big clean rice paddy rats im told,
ive seen some pics of them and they did look a lot more pleasant than the rat we know ...
