looks cool, wonder what the price is for each of those little strips.

they use surexi leds? 12 leds per strip... it seems they make the leds themselves? cannot find at what wattage they are driven though...

peace

Just don't try talking to the company O_O. I called them today to try to get info on the Eclipse line and the guy just sounded so confused. He kept bringing up the NeoSol and I was like 'No, I already know the prices of that lamp..I want the Eclipse pricing'. And quoted me NeoSol prices and said Hydrofarm re-sellers can get the eclipse.

So I talk to a rep that is in Hydrofarm network, Eclipse light isn't even listed. NeoSol is....

I swear, sales guys and LED companies...where do I begin...This fucking industry.

Someone needs to hire me already.

Hydrofarm won't sell their equipment to a hydro shop that also sells tobacco and tobacco accessories. BWGS distributing also has the same policy.

How archaic.

Guess who's going to sell a whole lot LESS in Colorado than their competitors?

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

One,

do you know what's up with the bottom chamber running white, as on there site there is no white LED listed?

I also love the safari light, small and compact, fits a seedling tray perfect, or two in a small tent..

He says it's the 'X5' but I wonder if he meant to say F5. It is not pure white, it is also blues and reds. The guy on the phone today told me I should contact the horticulture guy who helped set that up. It might be a custom spectrum for those guys, I will try to find more details out tomorrow.

off topic, when is the light your testing, when is the "user" model begin production? I always can find a place to put a light....

Yeah, they make the Surexi LEDs. They are 16 diode chips. It looks like they just put them on a rail spectrum but they have individual pods configured for specific spectrums on the site. I am assuming you can mix and match as well between.

As far as I am aware, they are still on track for a end of year release of the C4A.

Oh shit sorry, I didn't realize you were only allowed to post here if you agree with everything you see.

It's called and observation based opinion, get over it. :moon:

If you set the white balance on your camera on your more-blue lights, the more-red will usually appear red, and the blue appears almost all white.

You can't just go by what the camera shows you, its colors are not always perfect.

it sounds like a confirmation biased opinion post

i havent seen any evidence of what you are saying so its the equivalent of coming in and saying 'ha ha you're dumb'

kind of like pulling the hair of the girl you like in grade school ~maybe you really want to grow up and give some LEDs the credit they are due

my confirmation biased observation has been that LEDs do about the same thing as HID w/ about 75% of the watts

you can choose to be ignorant of the facts but other people reading this might think you have a point and you dont

What I see in that video is a bunch of tiny little low yielders crammed under a few grand worth of lighting.

I didnt see anything that looks like this, and BTW this was 1 of 12 plants grown under a single 600w HPS.

It's ok, I accidentally stumbled into this thread by way of the new posts button, otherwise I would have never bothered to come in to this micro growers play house.

I'll let you and xmot get back to your rub n tug now.

got some info on the lights:

"The light bars that were used in the video are our Eclipse Series II (ESII) with the F3 (top) and X5 (bottom) spectra. Currently the X5 spectrum is only available in the ESI and ESII fixtures.

Currently the Safari fixture only comes in the 660nm (Red) and 730nm (Far-red) for flower management. If you are looking for a lighting solution that would work over your seedling tray, that might be our NeoSol LS which utilizes our F3 spectrum. The F3 spectrum is our most widely used spectrum, and is commonly used for vegetative and flowering cycles.

I encourage you to check out the link provided as it has pdfs containing spec information. Any local hydroponic shop that buys their product from the distributor Hydrofarm (which is almost every shop), can provide you with pricing. "

that safari is pretty neat looking, would boost 660 / 730nm which I think sounds good..
