Look behind restaurants and mom/pop pizza joints. They throw out FOOD GRADE 5 gal buckets. Free:ying:

If you want higher yields aeration containers are worth the up front expense.

Check your local swap meet I get 4 gal square buckets for a buck brand new
Same goes for 3 gal but they are circle lol but they they 2 bucks for the lid..
So it's not free but close.. Another thing I see guys that don't have a green thumb
And selling all their shit for pennies just got 2 root pots for a buck..
I use smart pots and was curious about them and for a buck its worth a try...

Restraunts all day long. As has been said some throw them out. Many stockpile them in a dry storage area like a bad episode of hoarders and if you just ask you will walk away with them for free. This time of year you may have alot of competition looking for them as peeps get outdoor gardens up and running. Any place that has pickles is worth an ask.

thanks for all the input! most appreciated, gonna do a try a lil bit of everything :)

keeping in the mindset of free......check your local freeways. I see them every day along side the freeway and in ditches where they fall off work trucks.
