such a strange, and extreme, comparison to make your point moses
No more strange and extreme than killing whales to eat them in the name of science

It saddens me that the South African government did not join Australia and New Zealand in this court battle to oppose Japan. Whales are very important to our tourist industry.

lostinasea,
I'll give you 24hrs to get some sleep and re-respond... I can't help but feel that you're just drunk, because your anti-whale stance just makes no sense

but moses they dont eat them in the name of science that is a crude lie and you know this.. they just say that because the international consensus has turned on them..

and fair play i can see why people love whales and all mammels and fish but the japanese are not the only culprits, neither would i argue have they done the most damage..

phenomenal man dont be fool and give me orders like your thread even matters.. i'll give you a lifetime sabbatical from me and not answer any of your posts again..

it's done... have a nice day..

OK, AWESOME

Now we can get back to the topic at hand -- the Australian/New Zealand whaling challenge against Japan, including their slaughter of endangered species, none of which are in Japanese waters.

I haven't the foggiest why LostInASea is so in favor of their whaling (i thought pretty much everyone was against whaling these days?), but if it's just because he has some gripe against me that's fine, I can cop that on the chin, but I just hope he's not putting his personal gripe about me before his feelings about Japan's "scientific whaling" food program.

No they are not the only culprits but its a good start to stop them.

A lifetime sabbatical seems a strange and extreme and self indulgent measure. this is not about you, it's about Japanese killing whales!

Is it in the whales culture to be slaughtered...I dont think so.

Human kind has a lot to answer for and nobody in the modern world is exempt from what it has done.
But at least some people are trying to right the wrongs.

If it is in the Japanese culture to kill whales then start farming them and leave the wild whales to breed again.
We have already done enough to their culture.

I'll let fellow readers make up their own minds from that... but again, thanks for "not caring"

ánd there's no one to save us!

Hope? what's hope but the word that comes to mind whenever one understands the situation might be hopeless?
