Cooling through Evaporation

Hello internet friends! My question is, how do I cool my grow room down (it's a contained secret garden) using evaporation? I don't have the money to buy an AC unit. I remember reading up somewhere that cooling rooms through evaporation is a cost efficient way to do so without buying AC units. Help please? :tiphat:

I'm running 600 HPS and 400 MH

Cheers!

Additionally, the temps on side of the room are a constant 78F and the other side of the room a few feet away is 82 :/
I get some slight heat stress, but nothing they don't seem to be responding too negatively too. I want to fix this situation before the plants get too close to the lights haha.

If you live in an area with low humidity you can use a swamp/evaporative cooler. It will add considerable humidity to the air in your room. The units that are most effective, pull air from the outside.

do they have swamp coolers at the Home Depot in your area? if they don't have a big pile of them next to the patio furniture this time of year then they probably don't work very well in your area.

part of what CR is saying is that they work well with FRESH DRY air. a swamp cooler can't recirculate air for very long before the RH climbs enough to make them ineffective.
