What's up guys , new to the forums here but you should be seeing more from me soon! I had a quick question about which fertilizing company to pick.I am looking for something basic where I don't have to buy 7 different products to grow... Any suggestions on a schedule that doesn't require many products? I was looking at biocanna but I wanted to get everyone's opinion.

Btw I am growing in a 2x4 tent with 600w HPS , Grand daddy purp strain.

Look up Lucas formula I perfer the flora nova version but everyone has their preference. Some use maxibloom 7g per gal some use micro 8ml gal bloom 16ml gal. I modify it a little cause I still use floraliscious and kool bloom you will geet some that say that is a waste of time and money. Other than that I like sensi grow and sensi bloom from advanced its a really good base nute imo easy to use as well.

With all the options in the cannabis game these days it can get overwhelming and misinformation is everywhere. Do some research, your here so your already on the right path to success. Always remember less is more most times when it comes to nutes...GL

How were you intending to grow? Organic? Soil? Hydro? Do you have grow shops in your area to pick different brands or have to mail order?

Or beepbop over to the "Granddaddy Purp Genetics" forum here and ask the breeder directly? (smile) He seems a nice enough fella...

I would like to grow soil organically, but the soil I have atm is Fox farm ocean forest and I just sprinkled some humboldt nutrients mycorhizae in the hole before I planted it.

checked out the lucas method.. it only uses 1 product? would you run into deficiencies at all? I wouldnt mind having a couple boosters/supplements.

Consider organics, as now is a great time to start,...better than killing ya plants with kindness like so many before you, is a hassle but highly rewarding....lol

I plan on using 4 , 5 gallon pots and using scrog.. or should I just use 10 1 gallons? Not sure what combo to do , this is my first grow with all the right equipment.

If you are just looking for an off the shelf thing check out. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=23970 (MM mix)

If you want to take that to the next level...
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=241964 (ROLS) The first 7 pages of this thead are golden.

If you must add something other than water forget the 'dro store bottles and learn to make organic teas. I use water only both when I was in MM mix and now in the ROLS.
Expense wise ROLS will cost me about $10 a month to keep 90 gallons of soil rotating thru the pots. As a final tip...get that worm bin up and running asap. Vermicomposting is literally the shit.

I am really picky when it comes to finish quality taste of the bud , That's why I suggested using less products as possible , but thx for the links greenheart I'll check that out for next crop since I already have my soil and I'm on a budget atm.

Just need some input on a good fert? I see a lot about the lucas but is there any organic ways of using the lucas method?

I am picky myself. I found the hardest part to be curing it. Have you considered blackstrap molasses? 1teaspoon to 1 gallon of water.

Ffof should be enough on its own to get you to harvest in a sog setup...
For a prebagged mix it really does do a decent job and has alot of good nutrients. If I had to pick just 1 dry fert to ammend into it I would probably go with neem seed meal. I really like my rock dust... can I have 2 please? :D

Flora nova 8ml per gal. Think that's as organic as lucas can get.

I think I might start a test then... grow half using lucas method , the other half just water and maybe a booster if I see a deficiency.

I have used it in both veg and flower. When I do give them anything but water it is definitely early on. One of the real benefits of BSM is feeding the microlife that in turn breakdown and feed nutrients to the plant.

You may also want to look into the various organic teas. For example spend 10 on a box of kelp or alfalfa. Not only is it good for ammending soil between runs or top dressing it also makes great tea. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=110620
