Deadhead OG, Chem 4 OG, Purple Berry BXII, Qrazy Train, and Blue Cheese

J

Javadog

Hello all,

This will be my thread for Crop #3.

As I did not set aside time to Veg these out for larger vessels, I am
going to do another 2-gallon smart pot SOG.

This will give me 36 slots to fill.

I intend to try Vegging more with a future grow, but my current SOG
is working really well. I will be adding one week of Veg time though.
That will make for two weeks of Veg. We will see.

For this Crop the breeds will be:
=========================
Cannaventure seeds Purple Berry BX II
Cali Connection Deadhead OG
Cali Connection Chem 40G
TGA Subcool seeds Qrazy Train
Barney's Farm Blue Cheese
=========================

I will make a post for each breed.

The Deadhead sounds like it will be some killer smoke...well, they all do.

I will also be keeping the Crop #1 mothers, and will keep two clones of
each new female to be the new saved mother of these new breeds.

On the other hand, I killed all males. I learned how to make colloidal
silver, and proved that it works that way that I hope to use it....but
I was not able to come up with a stable, safe, and filtered place
to let them mature. I will be revisiting this topic.

Take care all,

JD

My Mother:

Cannaventure seeds Purple Berry BX (Blueberry Indica x Purple Berry) A very
stable strain, The flowers turn a dark purple/violet color, beginning about 3
weeks in flower, even the leaves around the flowers turn dark purple. Fast to
flower at 7-8 weeks, and has a sweet blueberry aroma which comes through in
taste and smell. Dense, rock hard flowers. Very Easy to grow. Good yield due
to the density of the flowers. One of the most beautiful plants I have ever
seen. Guaranteed to find a keeper in each pack.. (People can't get enough of
this, they love purple flowers)

Characteristics:
===========
Sex: Regular
Type: Indica & Sativa
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Medium
Area: Indoor & Outdoor
Genetics: Blueberry Indica x Purple Berry

Cali Connection Chem 4OG seeds The Chem 4 clone was found from seeds started
in 2006 from the original seed stock chemdog sent joebrand. joebrand stated
the seeds chem sent him and out of them there was chem 1,2,3,4. the Chem 4 is
what joebrand dubbed the Reunion pheno as it reminded him most of the original
dogweed from crested butte. i crossed this to my SFV OGK F4 amle in hope of
bumping up the yeild on the og, and in hopes of bringing a little more citrus
out of the chem4. expect large yeilds form this hybrid. Flower time will be 8
weeks

TGA Subcool seeds Qrazy Train:

TGA Subcool seeds Qrazy Train After the very succesful hybridization of our
Black Train Wreck and Jack the Ripper we sat out to create hybrid with the
potency that the Black Wreck passes on with the great taste of our Querkle.
The resulting offspring are a match made in heaven with equal traits being
passed from both parents. The progeny express the best attributes of both
contributing parents. The Space Queen provides an underlying fruit smell that
rounds the cross out. The cross matures very fast shwoing milky resin heads at
day 45 of flowering.Buds are spear shaped with a good calix to leaf ratio. Most
of the leaves have been fading and falling off prior to harvest with some
leaves turning to the nice burgandy amber fall colors. Taste like Spicy,Skunky
with an underlieing Grape fuel that is deep and heavy also hints of Melon and
Champagne

Characteristics:
===========
Sex: Regular
Type: Indica & Sativa
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Medium
Area: Indoor & Outdoor
Genetics: Hybrid- Train Wreck X Trinity X Purple Urkle X Space Queen

Barney's Farm Blue Cheese:

Barney's Farm Blue Cheese By breeding the famous Skunk #1 “Cheese” through the
original and perennially popular Blueberry line, Barney’s Farm has created a
productive, easy-to-grow strain yielding incredibly fragrant and tasty buds.
The characteristically intense and pungent aged-cheese aromas are tempered
with sweet blueberry notes. Flavors are soft but assertive, singing of berries
n’ cream. This short, stocky plant has strong side branches that develop tight,
sticky colas during a fairly short flowering period. The potent effects are
calming and relaxing – a true sensation for Indica enthusiasts.

Characteristics:
===========
Sex: Regular & Feminized
Type: Indica
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Short
Area: Indoor
Genetics: Big Buddha Cheese X Blueberry

The Blue Cheese is going to be nice man! All the best with the grow. Do you seem to get the more blueberry phenos with this strain or Cheese?

J

Javadog

Ah, pleasure to have you here sirs!

I am new to Blue Cheese.

I am doing pretty well so far with my grow efforts, but have to admit
that I only got serious this last year.

I can report that Barney's BC is a very strong plant. It showed roots
first and consistently in the cloner tray. The clones showed very pretty
growth while there too. :0)

I have only the one pheno, and have read of the fruit vs. cheese difference.
It seems a win-win for me, as both phenos are well spoken of....I'd pick
the BB for fun though.

This is intended to be a stinky Crop! :0)

I am putting the clones in soil today, and am taking some roots shots.

They were in the tray for more than three weeks, and are going
to explode into the new soil.

....cross your fingers, as I decided to try the Kellogs soil.

If it does not rock, then I will go back to FFOF.

Onward and upward,

JD

Here they are as of today. 24 of the 36 clones are in the tent:

I will be adding the Blue Cheese clones tomorrow, and the remaining DH and QT.

Yes, some of the cubes were getting a tad dry. I watered those still in the tray,
and those in the tent after they were planted.

Hello all,

(most welcome KW31 ;0)

I finished filling the tent:
attachment.php

This is the final line-up:
==============
6 Purpleberry
7 Chem 4 OG
9 Deadhead OG
1 Hawaiian Snow
8 Blue Cheese
5 Qrazy Train
==============

The HS is a funny story. I had thought to add this breed to this
Crop, as something of a random filler.

I had the seed in my breast pocket and when I bent over the pots
to pick one up, it fell out, of course, and was presumed lost.

A few weeks later I noticed that there was was competing sprout
popping out next to one of my highly-prized Purpleberry plants.

It turns out that the seed fell into soil.

At first I was about to pull it. ...but the description of the breed
that I saw online was attractive, so I waited. It turns out that that
Purpleberry was a male and so the stow-away took over the pot.

Onward and upward,

JD

The ladies are just taking hold:

I switched to the MH bulb and have the lamp at the lowest setting.

I lowered the lamp to better illuminate the babies too.

I added the Kessil with more blue (the Purple) to the mix.

24/0 for now.

I am still thinking of 2 weeks of Veg. I will likely water with plain water
(well, with weak Liquid Karma, Sea Green, and myco additives) for the
entire Veg period.

Take care,

JD

nice roots

the Blue cheese i saw outside last year was fire, just a bit airy..but the best flavor and smell..keep it up!

J

Javadog

Well, I very much appreciate your kind attention.

I am new, but very lucky so far. :0)

The Somango from Crop #2 is very, very tasty, and the AK-47
is curing in half gallon mason jars. It is so sticky. I felt that
the buds needed a short period of airing when I checked them
the first time after jarring them. It was hilarious, trying to get
the damn things out of the jar....like it was stuffed with cotton
candy. They stuck to the jar inside too. LOL.

I can warn other mushroom cultivators to use their hard earned
patience and keep their fracking foggers out of the clone tray!

attachment.php

Doing this lead to a mold on a few clones. I just left the dome off
and they bounced back. I did have to clean a few up, and ended up
with several that were less than desirable to use, but with more than
I needed to start with, I had what I wanted.

BTW: I switched to Kelloggs Patio Plus for this Crop. It is less than
$8 for a 3 cu. ft. bag. It is OMRI listed and has some good components,
so I am pretty confident that it will work OK.

Take care all,

JD
