So i recently just got a bluelab truncheon to measure the EC of my runoff.

Im currently running coco hempys in the 5th week of flower. They are getting fed once a day with quite a bit of overflow runoff. When i checked my EC of the runoff the other day is was nearly 3 so i whipped up some 1/4 strenght nutes and flushed until my EC was similar to what was going in.

Now, a week later with 1.2 EC feedings its slowly crept back up to around 2 as of yesterday. Are they just not eating what im giving them or what? H&G recommends base nutes EC of 1.2 before adding their hardener.....im only going to .8EC before adding.

Not really sure whats going on or what i should do to solve this. Next run I will be using drip clean for sure.

thanks

hempy bucket is when they just sit in the water you feed them right? no drainage hole? you probably have huge salt build up at the bottom of your bucket.... thats what i think

Im running H&G full line short of the drip clean (started this run before they hooked me up with their full product line).

In regards to the salt buildup in bucket res....would it jump up that high again even after i flushed ab out a week ago until runoff EC was the same as the EC going in....which was a .7EC diluted nutrient solution. The hempy bucket does have a drain hole about 2 inches from the bottom and hydroton is filled up to that hole. I feed to about 20% runoff each day, which i thought would be enough to flush salts away

If your ppm's keep shooting up then your over feeding just lower ppm's until it gets to where you want it if it goes back up then same thing lower your feed its all about finding the sweet spot. when we see EC creeping up We do regular feeds 1 to 2 times a week at an ec of 0.4 to keep every thing in check ..

Since i just filled up a 10 gal res with nutrients thats around .8EC yesterday, should i just dilute it with some PHd water and then feed that constantly or do my normal feeding regime with some .4EC feeds in there twice a week?

thanks!

dont worry about what HG recommends they would recommend 5.0 EC if they could, that company cant even get their labels straight on their bottles.
